this is amazing hamburger very little fat and very little grease I love how good this tastes cooks up perfectly and the flavor is super nice as is the smell of it it works great as a dinner staple here and we enjoy this hamburger for everything I've never been happier with a juicy flavorful hamburger it truly is awesome in every sense.

I definitely recommend this because less waste and more usable product.this is a healthier option, especially if you mix it with lean ground turkey.. you get that nice beef taste but less fat..if your using to grill,I recommend either a egg white and little olive oil to keep shape and moisture in.. when I cook this the pan is never has a lot of water in it. The consistency of the ground beef is uniform never had issues with hard rubber gristle in it. It is a little more but works great with jenny o lean ground turkey to bring fat, cholesterol and salt down and a really good ground meat for budget meals that are healthy.

I really enjoy this ground beef. It taste really good. I use it for everything. Burgers, spaghetti, meatloaf. I like how it is American Heart Certified. I like the low fat content. I like the new packages they put it in recently the square one. The only downfall is that it is really expensive but I think it is worth it!

The 98% lean Ground Beef is my favorite cut of meat next to ribeye steak but I buy this a minimum of twice a month over burgers, spaghetti w meat sauce, meatloaf, meatballs, goulash, stuffed peppers %26 beef tacos to name a few dishes I do take time to cook. Chili is another. Highly recommend

My 90 year old mother cannot eat high fat meals. This is a reasonable treat for her, and appears to agree with her. The flavor is good. That said, cooked into a burger patty....it's dry, as you might expect. Works best in meatballs, with added "moisturizing" ingredients like onion and bell pepper, served with marinara, it's very good. Bugers? 3.7/5; okay but just barely. In sauces or as meatloaf with lots of onions and peppers, 5/5. Good lowfat beef for people who can't tolerate a lot of fat.

There are several things I like about this product - its in a vacuum sealed package which extends freshness and protects better when freezing. Its in a square shape which makes it a breeze for storing and stacking. TIP: For the most tender, melt in your mouth experience, place this beef in a bowl, mix 1/2 tsp of baking soda with 2 tsp of water, pour over the beef and gently work it into the beef - do not over-knead, wait 20 to 30 minutes and proceed with cooking. Better browning for your hamburgers, juicer and more tender meatloaves, tacos or anything you use with beef. Using Beef Tallow for frying hamburgers or cooking is highly recommended as this only has 4% fat.

Hamburger for the price of steak. This is VERY lean hamburger, so you are paying for far less fat than when buying the 73% or 80% lean hamburger. This means that more cooked meat this left instead of cooking away a lot of fat. Being this lean, it did not have much taste. That is the trade off with the price. I doubt I will purchase this product again.

Being very objective, few months ago they had ot in plastic wrapped trays and tou could get pounds or a bigger 2 and a quarter pounds, that was perfect size to cook diferent dishes. I do understand meat would last longer that average but presentation now its like a paste, it is not loose anymore you really need to work it out in order to break it so it wont form clumps while being cooked. also, I cannot tell the fat content anylonger since its very well spread in the dough like meat paste, however, I can tell by the grease left behind in pots, utensils and pots, its not as consistent as before. In conclusion, its more convenient if you dont cook it quickly but if you as soon as you buy t provides no advantage whatsoever. I believe quality wise and cost benefit I can't see the same the same, its just a meat paste you can extrude out of the package, its consistency its closer to sausages or cold cut meat products. I believe this time walmart didn't think it through.

I don't know what this is. It is not ground beef in the sense as we used to get it. I first seen it in the new packaging and refrained from buying it. Just didn't look right. I decided to try it after a few weeks of seeing it. Well, after opening it it doesn't look right. It looks more like a paste. Its consistency is pasty. Reminds me of the pink slime McDonald's uses in its nuggets but this a beef concoction. I look at the back of the packing. From Tyson and it states beef and natural flavoring. I cooked it up and it does not look or smell like beef as before. I tossed it out. Not that it smelled rotten but that it doesn't smell as I've come known beef to smell when cooked. I think this is imported and is ultra processed like pink slime nuggets. Do NOT buy this product!!!

Purchased extra lean ground beef for years, but past few times it has cooked up terribly and flavor was also off. Purchased 2 pks of 2.25 lb each to make Spaghetti %26 Chili. The meat basically vanished and would not hold together. Both spaghetti and chili looked like meatless sauces with no meat or taste, Later bought a 1 lb pkg to see if any difference and none - still cooked up same way by not holding together and no flavor. Whatever you've done different, PLEASE go back to the original Extra Lean ground beef. Meat prices are too high to have meat cook and taste this this did.
