Good product, great price

Cherbear1949 February 27, 2017

I have been using the indoor composter kit for 3 weeks now. It does hold a lot and when closed it is air tight and you cant smell anything until you open it. Ive been putting the composing additive in but it doesn't seem to be making it compost any faster. I think I will purchase a second one so that when the first one fills up, I can set it outside in the sun so it will compost faster and start filling up the second one in the house. Another nice feature is that you can drain off the liquid by turning a knob at the bottom of the bucket.

So far, so good

NMkathy January 10, 2017

I received my All Seasons Indoor Composter Kit 2 weeks ago. A week ago I put in the first "load" of kitchen scraps and used the accelerator according to directions. Yesterday, I put in the second load. There was very little odor when I removed the lid to put in more scraps and the first load of compost was going along nicely as expected. The bucket now is full and has gone into its 2 week composting period in the pantry. I also have purchased a 2 bucket set for our church as our youth Sunday school classes will be planting a community garden in the spring. This compost will help prepare our very alkaline and clayey soils in the mountains outside of Albuquerque. So glad to have a good way to compost in the winter.

I love it!!!

Sydney May 25, 2016

I was skeptical about trying the Bokashi method but I'm so glad I did. I tried traditional composting for years and could never get it right. Not only is the Bokashi method super simple and fast, it's wonderful to be able to include kitchen waste that I couldn't before (i.e., meat, fish, cooked food). I'm in the 2-week period of waiting while the full bucket does it's thing, so I'm still collecting kitchen scraps and freezing them in a large Zip-Loc bag to thaw and put in the bucket once I empty it. If that doesn't work, I'll order a second kit. I highly recommend it.

Kitchen scraps into soil

Cutie22 January 15, 2017

I noticed our plants really like the liquid that comes from our new Bokashi composter with a spigot. More blossoms on our geraniums, and our grape tomatoes than I have ever seen on them. Easy to work with. Our only challenge here in the Rocky mountains is winter is very snowy and long. So digging up soil to burry material after it fermented in the composter is not an option. I experimented with burying the material in snow. But either way it creates wonderful (stinky !) fertilizer each week. I deal with the stinky part by immediately diluting the liquid with water (like 1to 5) and that makes it fine to use on my plants.

Easy to use Indoor Composter

Mike October 13, 2015

I've used this product with regularity in a house I shared with two other people. It handled organic waste very well, especially considering that two of us cooked frequently, which produced lots of food scraps. With this composter in the kitchen, we could leave the food scraps in it for up to three weeks, skipping daily trips to the outside compost bin. Once full, we would take it to the outside compost. This was especially helpful from late fall to spring, when it was cold and wet and nobody wanted to head outside. I can say with confidence that I think this is probably the best easy-to-use indoor composting kit there is. Have fun composting!

The composter breaks down the materials without emitting foul odors. Looking forward to using it often.

indoor home composter

MLou March 12, 2016

I've been looking for ways to use leftover food for a very long time. Since I live in MD, I really didn't want to have to run out into the cold during winter months. During one of my many searches, I came across this composter. I'm glad I bought it but I thought it would turn the food into compost quicker but then again, I'm not the most patient person. I do feel I'm doing the right thing and it does not smell rotten at all. The bokashi you add with the food scraps actually makes a pleasant smell. I have already used some of the "tea" it makes in my house plant water and I can actually see a boost in my plants!! My only regret is that I would have liked to get the tan colored container but only black was available. So compost on!! It's good for all. The

Waste Management for Apartment Dwellers

Libby October 4, 2015

I thought that because I live in an apartment I was limited to recycling in terms of waste management. That's why I was especially excited to find this indoor composter. I cook all the time, which produces a lot of food scraps that otherwise head straight for the trash bin. When I found a composter that actually stores food waste AND pickles it, i was stoked! In just a few weeks, I can ferment my food waste and add the compost byproduct to my outdoor plants' potting soil for a nutrient boost. The rest, I take to my sister's much larger outdoor composter. This product made indoor composting simple...and odor free!

Spigot leaks

WormBarnGuy January 16, 2017

I'll give it two stars, because I believe in the product and the priciple, but the execution of the actual product construction is lacking. You shouldn't have to deal with a sludgy brown puddle that forms every couple days at the base of the bucket.
