[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I needed a car seat to fit three across in a sedan (Honda Accord) and this one fit the bill perfectly. I was able to install it front facing for my 3 year old in less than 15 minutes, thanks to the clear instruction manual and the quick start guide. In addition, the car seat itself is very intuitive in how to adjust everything. I really appreciate how the tethering straps are easy to adust yet stay put when finished. I've worked with other car seats where I am wrestling the straps trying to tighten it. My toddler loved sitting in it from the get go. We were stuck in traffic for over an hour driving to the airport and there were no complaints from her. She liked how cushy and cozy it was. If you use the car seat rear-facing, you can install the sunshad, which I've never seen before in a convertible car seat! That is a great feature to have in our extremely hot summers and falls in Los Angeles. I like the dark colorway, it hides any stains that may happen along the way. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a great seat that works so well for my toddler. We got this seat right after my 2.5yo started forward facing. He's very independent and wants to be like his big brother. When we turned around his old convertible car seat, he wasn't happy. He still felt like it was a baby seat. He wanted a booster like big brother. This was perfect timing -- we received this All4Stages seat from the Stellar Product Testing Panel, and it was a perfect match for our needs. The seat gives my kiddo the feel of a high back booster, but with all of the protections of a fully-equipped car seat. It's easy for him to climb into himself and has great accessible cupholders. Safety-wise, we love the head support. He feels really well protected in the seat. Overall the seat has a nice high-quality feel. My only gripe is with the chest clip. I find it a bit hard to use, though I'm hoping once the plastic is worn in a bit it won't take so much force to undo. This slim fit is really nice because my husband's car gets quite tight in the back seat. I actually think we'll be able to utilize the middle seat of his car now more than in the past. My kid is in the 99%+ percentile and seems to still have plenty of room to grow with the seat as well. We're hopeful that this will really be the last seat that we have to buy him since it converts to booster mode!

Even though it's advertised as “slim,” I did not find it to be as slim or narrow as I was expecting. It is also heavier than some single-stage car seats, which can make it more challenging to transfer between vehicles. I have a 19 month old toddler and am in my third trimester of pregnancy with our second, so I'm no stranger to car seats! Overall, this is a great car seat for the price. Pros: -Installation was easy. Even at 7 months pregnant, I was able to easily install using the rear-facing LATCH instructions. I love that the instructions included links to helpful YouTube videos, making install even easier. -Comfort- Overall my toddler has been entirely comfortable in this car seat. She loves the cup holders (one for her cup, one for a toy), though she does struggle a touch to get stuff out of them while strapped in. The seat has plenty of cushion, so my little one never seems uncomfortable. It does a feel a little less luxe than some car seats out there, but overall it feels like a good amount of comfort for the price. -Footprint- I like that this seat is slimmer than others. We often end up toting a friend along with us, so someone needs to sit in the back of our RAV4. The slimmer profile of this seat gives whoever is riding in the backseat a little more legroom than the other seats we've used. I'd recommend this seat for this alone! It also had a reasonable front-to-back/depth footprint. I can definitely fit this behind the driver seat when I'm driving (I'm 5'2”, for reference), but it would be a bit of a squeeze to put it there when my husband (6') drives. Still, overall I'm impressed with the size. See pictures for reference! -Canopy- It wasn't until I got this seat that I realized how robbed we've been! Infant car seats all have a canopy, but somehow most convertible seats drop this feature. I LOVE that Evenflo brought it back! It's great for super sunny days, managing to keep my daughter a little more shielded and less likely to be yelling “EYES!” from the backseat as the sun hits her face. Fantastic feature. -Safety- Overall construction makes me feel confident in the safety of this seat. It doesn't feel cheap or like it's poorly made. It feels sturdy and like it will hold up if we get into an accident. -Fit- my 20-pound peanut of a toddler fit great in this seat. Plenty of room while still feeling secure. I find the clip on the harness a little harder to engage than in other car seats (a drawback when you have a toddler who considers clipping that piece to be her job), but not actually difficult. -Modes- I've only used this rear-facing with toddler so far, but it came with a very cozy infant insert. I love that we could use this from infant through booster seat, minimizing waste and maximizing bang-for-our-buck with one purchase. Cons: -I found it a little odd that the cup holders are required for use. It hasn't yet had any impact as we use it, but it's something I'll need to be mindful of if there's a spill and we need to take the cup holders out for cleaning. -There are some plastic pieces, seemingly structural, that come down below the padding of both sides of the headrest. It's unclear why these aren't covered/why the headrest fabric doesn't extend further. -I would prefer more fabric options, especially some flame-retardant-free ones! Overall, I'm pleased with this car seat and would recommend it!

For the most part I loved this seat, I felt that my child was safe in it and the design is appealing. I have multiple kids so the slim design definitely helps when we are all in the car. It allows for plenty of room for another child to sit next to it or to even have another car seat or booster alongside it. The head protection is top notch and that gives me so much peace of mind. I also love that it has a sun shade, I can't tell you how many times that has come in handy. It's hard to find seats past infant carriers that have a sun shade and it's still very much needed with a rear facing child. My 2 year old seemed to love the seat and was comfortable in it, also provided plenty of leg room. It was easy to install, and I love the safety indicators so you know you have the seat in the correct position. The only cons I found with this seat is that it is heavy and the chest clip at times was a little sticky and took two hands to undo. The chest clip also didn't feel as high quality as the rest of the seat. Other than that I love this seat and look forward to using it through all the stages.

A convertible carseat is perfect right now for both our 5 month old and 2.5 year old. Straight out of the box, I appreciated the feel of the fabrics and the slim size - key for fitting two carseats in our small sedan. It's also light enough for me to maneuver and install on my own (although it waa definitely nice to have help for the initial move into the car). The sun canopy is a unique and helpful addition. I was concerned about assembly and how useful the feature would actually be, but I was pleasantly surprised! Easy to put together and perfect coverage especially for baby. The straps were mostly easy to adjust. Sometimes they felt a little hard to pull tight enough, especially that last little inch or so. We're not ready to try forward facing, and the 2.5yo (35" tall) was still very comfortable in the rear facing settings. I felt very safe with the infant setting, too - the straps and padding didn't crowd his face and adjusted comfortably across his lap. Overall, it's great quality for an affordable midrange price that will definitely pay off over the longevity of usefulness through the booster stage!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I had been needing a slim car seat for our van. With a bunch of kids, space is important. I had been using what claimed to be a slim seat but this one measures almost an 1.5 inches slimmer! I was so excited! I was concerned that my son wouldn't fit in it. I am using it for my 6 year old. He fits just fine though. The head space is a bit tight. I wish there were a way to widen it a little, but he doesn't seem to mind. While I am not using the canopy, I love that option! I also really like that it has a slit so you can still see the level while the canopy is on to assure proper usage. Another thing I really like is that the material in the seat portion is sewn together. The seat he was using before wasn't sewn so crumbs would go between the material all the time. This seat is easier to clean in that way. I like the cup holders as well. They attach in such a way that a kid probably isn't pushing them out. They are secure. The snack tray attachment is cool as well! I like that the chest clip has a reminder on it to put it at armpit level. So many forget that! One con I have is that the chest clip doesn't feel as secure as his last seat, although it is secure. I'm not concerned about his safety, it just feels different. Another is that while it is slim, and I like that, it does feel tighter and I'm not sure how long my son will fit in it as far as width goes. But, that's okay because I have a son younger than him that will use it when he's done. Overall, I like this seat and will continue to use it and would recommend it to anyone looking for a slim seat that works for a variety of ages. The back threading space for the seat belt was really easy to fit your hand through. The seat has amazing cup holders with little snack trays. I love these because they extend forward and not sideways (other slim seats I have tried have sideways cupholders that don't fit on when situated three car seats across). The head protector and belt are super easy to adjust. The slimness of the seat is perfect, it easily fits into my car seat-crowded car. I also really like that the chest buckle is a bit harder to unbuckle because then my older toddler can't unbuckle himself! Two of my big toddlers tested this car seat out for me on various trips, and reported that it is very comfortable. The cons of this seat are that the sun shield, while an awesome idea, is simply too tall to use. It blocks out a significant portion of the windows I need to see through to drive safely. It does come off though, so using it is optional. The carseat itself is pretty tall, so when rear facing you will need plenty of space between the backseat and front seat for it to fit at the right angle.
