My grandson absolutely loved his gift. He is 5 years old %26 rode it like a pro. He loved the lights. I find this to be a very sturdy scooter. Also not hard to assemble.

The scooter works and looks great. The wheels do actually light up when riding. But there are two allen wrench bolts that help keeps the wheels on that are constantly becoming loose. I even went to the hardware store to replace the bolts with ones you tighten with a screw driver and they still continue to get loose.

I dislike the way Walmart handles on line orders. I wanted this item to be sent to my granddaughter in Iowa. Instead, it was shipped to me in Rhode Island. It cost me another $49 to send it to my granddaughter. This was an added expense.

The handle bars came wrapped in plastic with the plastic tucked under the grips so even when you remove the plastic there's still a bunch of plastic hanging out of the grips. I managed to get one grip off using every ounce of strength in my body but one wouldn't come off at all. The instructions were not clear but I managed to figure it out. I didn't realize you can't turn the handle bars and have to lean to steer so we'll see if my 5 year old can handle it. But it doesn't seem particularly well made or sturdy. I would return it but the kid's birthday is tomorrow so it's too late to get anything else. If I had more time I'd definitely find something better.
