this thing works perfectly!

My husband is an avid gun enthusiast and has always wanted me to throw the clays for him to shoot at but with this thing he can do it all by himself!!! It’s great and works perfectly every single time. It’s allowed him to shoot clays a lot more frequently since he doesn’t have to always have someone with him to throw them for him. He said it’s built well and will last forever if taken care of. He also really likes this brand. Everything Allen he’s ever bought has been nicely made to last. I’m so glad he could use this alone and flawlessly. Perfect item for any gun enthusiasts!! Makes it fool proof

It’s a great product. Assembly was very easy. Instructions were clear and easy to follow. Seems to be a well made product. It has an adjustable spring tensioner and the foot pedal is smooth operating. It does what it should with no complaints. Very happy with it. The item is red not orange.

Really happy with this. Such a nice thing to have the option to use. These last a long time but was finally ready to purchase a new one. So glad we did. Nice addition to our skeet shooting. Looking forward to come weather where we can do this more.

WOW! What a Clay Thrower device and it can be foot operated or tethered as well. Box says its a 5 minute assembly. It took me about 15 minutes to just get everything out of the box! Box says one just needs an adjustable crescent wrench but actually one needs TWO 14mm wrenches in order to get things tightened properly. The instructions are not clear in at least three areas where they have changed part configurations and never updated the paperwork. BUT, it was still fun to assemble anyway! I also think the long "spring adjusting bolt" needs to be a bit longer to be able to reduce tension even more than it currently has. My first attempt at cocking this launcher was a bit frightening due to the extreme strength of the spring.

This Xcelerator Claymaster Target thrower by Allen Company, is not bad for the money. It is easy to assemble and may need some tweaking to use but all in all a fast setup and ready for use. The tweaking may not be necessary but on mine the clay discs slid all the way down and out the back and all that needs done is to bend the sides in a little to cause friction on the clay discs so they stay in place. Other than that it is fully operational and has three different angle settings for throwing out the target. It will also send two targets at the same time which is cool. It weighs a fairly hefty 13 lbs and the legs are spiked which gives you a chance to penetrate the ground for a solid base. It is foot operated so one person can enjoy the experience without any help from another and you can keep your eyes on the release of the target and not have to pull a string or push a button etc. Cheap entertainment and seems well built for years of use..

I have been out of practice on the birds, my old thrower wasn't easy for one person. This skeet thrower works well with another or by yourself and sometimes we even use two (both new one is mine) to see how our shooting is, when loading more than one it can throw two skeet it's still good and high in the target area, not like my old thrower witch might throw one high and the second one rabbit about ten yards out. The foot trigger operation works easy for one person shooting alone.

I had a guy friend of mine put it together and he had a lot of problems with it but still managed to get it done in about an hour and a half. He had to use a couple of his own tools to make it happen. He also said the part that holds the targets needed to be smaller as they were sliding right out but he was able to bend the metal and tighten it up to make it work. But apparently it is a common problem so that’s something more of a design flaw than anything else because I see it is a very common problem apparently. So as to actual use, with some adjustments we were able to get it to stand sturdy. It took some adjustments to figure out placements for throwing. Once we got the hang of that, after several too close or too odd an angle, etc. etc. we finally found the sweet spot to make them fly right. Several were broken before we got to this point though. All in all I would call this an OK clay thrower. It’s not great, it’s not the worst, it’s just better than slinging them into the air over and over by hand by yourself.
