I've had several heated outdoor birdbaths over the years, and this one has lasted much longer than others. I purchased this one for my son because I know it will last a long time.
My mother had one but after five decades it was time to replace it. I only use it below freezing temperatures and have had birds even take baths in winter and all drink the water.
The bird bath is of good quality and mounted easily to my 2x4 deck railing using the included bracket. The heater has worked well in below freezing temperatures and the birds seem to like it.
Love my bird bath. I bought this one to replace the old identical one I have. I looked at others first but decided to stay with the same style. Birds love it. Easy to clean and refill.
This is a favorite for our birds. I put this new one on our back deck railing. To our surprise the little briwn birds are flocking to it. We love seeing them enjoying this new addition to get a drink or take a dip!!😊
works good. happy squirrels and birds when the weather is freezing.
Very nice birdbath. Deep enough.
Big Beautiful Birdbath The Birds Love. We live in the cold north and we've had up to 10 doves surrounded around the perimeter all snuggling together facing outwards warming their butts from the warm heated water. Actually all the birds enjoy the size because do many can use it at the same time, bathing and drinking. We placed a broken stick through the center and the perch over the water also.
It keeps the water thawed without heating it. I purchased the recommended extension cord . The brace that fits the deck occasionally needs readjustment to keep it secure. Possibly temperature changes affect it. I had to tighten the bowl to the base bracket once because it loosened up but an easy fix. The one thing I don't like is it's textured, rough surface (resin?) because it requires a scrub brush to keep it clean before adding fresh water. The convenience of having it on the deck for winter is better than trudging through snow on the lawn. I think it's too pricey but I'm not sure what other options are available. It serves the purpose over the winter but I will definitely use my ceramic one for the other 3 seasons!! Recommend???? Probably has more right about it than wrong.
It's a very large and eye appealing bird bath, but it's much shallower than it appears in the pictures. The instructions are overly written and difficult to follow. Really need it told in simple step-by-step method. I don't recall seeing how short the power cord is and that they recommend a costly lock tight extension cord that costs 1/2 the price of the bird bath. Unfortunately the mounting bracket is fixed at 4" wide so it won't fit on my 6" railing. Recommend a mounting bracket that fits when tightened from under the railing.
