I've been reading about weighted blankets in health magazines, and finally own one made by Allswell. Now i know what all the benefits are first-hand. It felt super-heavy when I pulled the blanket out, but when I laid under it, somehow the blanket gave me a calm feeling, kinda quieted down my mind so I could relax and fall asleep. The outer cover zips off so it can be washed, which is awesome since my messy dog loves it too! I'm getting great rest under it. I've also sat on even in June weather because the blanket cover has moisture-wicking breathable material, great in summer heat!
This was my first weighted blanket and I am pleasantly surprised. My blanket has a weight of 15. It feels like a cozy hug on your body. I really like it. It comes with a removable cover that is washable. I washed mine before I used it and it washed and dried well with cold water, low heat.
Cooling Weighted Blanket Was simply amazing to sleep with. The twelve pound limit was enough for me at 5'2, 150 lbs. The cover is easy to remove to wash in the washer, easy zipper closure. The dark gray matched perfectly well with my decor. I use this blanket to help keep me asleep at night.
I wasn't sure what to expect with this weighted blanket but was drawn to it because it said it was a cooling weighted blanket. My fear with weighted blankets were that they would be way too hot. This one is great. I will say, it's not like it's cold feeling...but if you put the slick side against your body, it gets less hot. I've found that when I sleep with it, it keeps me from tossing and turning so much which results in better sleep.
I got into this blanket which is made like a sleeping bag, you climb into it, it made me feel like one a winter day when your hands and feet feel frozen and your body is shivering and then you get into a warm shower and it feels like cosy, warm and with a lot of relief. I had no idea that weight on your body could feel like a hug, but it really does. I had just gotten up after sleeping the entire night and then climbed into this blanket and immediately I felt sleepy again and extremely comfortable. I gave 4 stars because personally I believe that cotton or linen or wool or silk which are pure products, are better for you than polyester. It has a cover on the top only which is removal for washing. This is a super blanket to take camping in cooler weather as well as it is really very warm, thick and comfortable. I got the gray color and it is good as it matches absolutely everything.
I'm not sure what I think just yet. It is very well made. I'm just not sure about the extra weight. I tend to like light weight blankets. But I did stay at a good temp! Im going to try it longer because I think Ill probably like it once I got use to it. But I do like that the cover comes off and is to wash!
Got this weighted cooling blanket from allswell thought i would try it since I stay hot all summer .it's not real big but big enough for 1 person I use it mostly to snuggle up on the sofa it's nice and soft and comfy but it doesn't seem to help with cooling so can't say much on the cooling part unfortunately. But if you just want a good weighted blanket to help you sleep yes I would recommend this one but if you want it to help with cooling then no I would look elsewhere for that because this one just doesn't seem to work for that.
This 20 lb cooling weighted blanket is pretty neat. A little heavy for me to carry upstairs so I am leaving it downstairs to use for the couch. I just threw this up on the couch to get a picture. It's going to come in real handy for my naps. Seems very well made and I love the color of the gray. I think I will go a little lighter in weight for upstairs next time. Loving it though.
I really wanted to love this blanket. First the pros: it's nice and heavy and comes with a removable cover. The cons: it's small, it moves around inside the cover and endsup bunched up on one side inside the cover. Also it's leaking sand/micro beads everywhere and I can't see where the leak is.
Truthfully I'd like to give this 20 lb weighted blanket a good review. But I found the cover makes it difficult to use. Its hard to distribute the weight with the cover on, when you move the cover, the weighted blanket slides in the opposite direction. The cover increases anxiety instead of helping. I found by removing the cover, I was able to situate the blanket comfortably.
