Allswell Nanobionic Cooling Weighted Blanket

I've been reading about weighted blankets in health magazines, and finally own one made by Allswell. Now i know what all the benefits are first-hand. It felt super-heavy when I pulled the blanket out, but when I laid under it, somehow the blanket gave me a calm feeling, kinda quieted down my mind so I could relax and fall asleep. The outer cover zips off so it can be washed, which is awesome since my messy dog loves it too! I'm getting great rest under it. I've also sat on even in June weather because the blanket cover has moisture-wicking breathable material, great in summer heat!

When I pulled this out of the box and then climbed under this weighted blanket for the first time I thought it was odd but that's because it was new to me and something I'd never seen or used before. But then after about 8 minutes or so I noticed I was feeling much calmer and even more relaxed and that must be good for my health. It's hard to explain but it offers a comforting feeling that is just wonderful. I'm so happy that I have this weighted blanket and found out about all the qualities it has. This one weighs 20 pounds and the weight is to be evenly distributed over the body. It has a removeable and washable cover but I may get another cover for it as well. I am happy to recommend to friends and family, in fact I say you really should try it.

I have always wanted to try this blanket. I have friends who swear by it. I have found that when I am in bed now with this blanket, I stay put. I am usually all over the bed. When I get up in the night, I go back to bed and I go to sleep very quick. I LOVE IT!!!

Found the blanket does help, I have RLS, the blanket helps especially at night, it does get a little warm, some it may bother but I weigh 100 lbs and cold natured so it wasn't a issue for me. It does have a calming effect, try it I truly believe you'll like it. It's remembrance of the heavy quilts grandmother used to have, you felted hugged and safe.

This is my first time using a weighted blanket. I can't believe i just found out about this now. It's so soothing to lay down and be relaxed. I was sceptical at first but I'm impressed with the comfort it gave me. I only did 15lbs. And I must say it's the perfect weight for me. Not too heavy and not too light. My husband fell asleep right away when I put it on top of our bed. What's nice about this is it cooling so it's not warming you up on hot summer day and night. I'm probably going to get the warm one for the winter since we like weighted blankets now. Oh you can wash the cover which is a huge plus! I'm looking forward to using this the whole summer!

A girl friend of mine suggested a 30 pounds...boy I could hardly lift this 15 pounds this is going to be great for me during the winter months sitting on the couch watching TV but for me to sleep in it all night was a struggle I can't stand heavy things on me at night. don't know if it was menopause cause I remember I mom make me a heavy quilt which I loved but time brings about a change...it is really nice and I will enjoy during the fall and winter months of relaxing...restless legs beware of the heaviness of this blanket...my friend loves it says he makes her sleep like a baby...I don't have a problem sleeping at 8:30 like my mom and grandson use to be I'm out like a light.

I just got this for my daughter and I love it, I am actually the one using it, it really is nice and cool. I would order a larger size next. I love this though, absolutely something everyone should buy. The weights is very nice too. I'd even go heavier

I got into this blanket which is made like a sleeping bag, you climb into it, it made me feel like one a winter day when your hands and feet feel frozen and your body is shivering and then you get into a warm shower and it feels like cosy, warm and with a lot of relief. I had no idea that weight on your body could feel like a hug, but it really does. I had just gotten up after sleeping the entire night and then climbed into this blanket and immediately I felt sleepy again and extremely comfortable. I gave 4 stars because personally I believe that cotton or linen or wool or silk which are pure products, are better for you than polyester. It has a cover on the top only which is removal for washing. This is a super blanket to take camping in cooler weather as well as it is really very warm, thick and comfortable. I got the gray color and it is good as it matches absolutely everything.

The Allswell 20LB Nanobionic cooling weighted blanket has a soft and washable outer cover shell. This blanket measures 48x72 inches which is big enough to cover you if you are like 5' 6" and under while in bed or on a couch. This 20lb weighted blanket was too heavy for me to be able to maneuver comfortably. I'm an amputee so it was hard to make the bed or turn over at nite. I really wore myself out just trying to get ready for bed to fall asleep. I got the 20lb weighted blanket according to my weight. I will try a lesser weight and a queen size to fit the bed at a later date. Because I couldn't turn over easily at nite the filling in the blanket seemed to bunch up on one side. This made the blanket extremely hard for me to lift and move it. I have no strength in my arms at 68 years old. As heavy as the blanket felt I was not hot the blanket had a cooling effect all night. The outer cover has a zipper so you can remove it to wash in cold water and dry on a low temp in the dryer. Be sure to read the care instructions if you are in doubt about the care of the weighted blanket. The filling is secured back inside the cover with ties and zipped back up.

I was disappointed that the weighted pieces are not confined and just fall to the bottom of the blanket. I had thought the square patches that show in the pictures meant that the pieces were confined to those squares but that is not the case. I would not recommend.
