Allswell Nanobionic Cooling Weighted Blanket

I've been reading about weighted blankets in health magazines, and finally own one made by Allswell. Now i know what all the benefits are first-hand. It felt super-heavy when I pulled the blanket out, but when I laid under it, somehow the blanket gave me a calm feeling, kinda quieted down my mind so I could relax and fall asleep. The outer cover zips off so it can be washed, which is awesome since my messy dog loves it too! I'm getting great rest under it. I've also sat on even in June weather because the blanket cover has moisture-wicking breathable material, great in summer heat!

I have always wanted to try this blanket. I have friends who swear by it. I have found that when I am in bed now with this blanket, I stay put. I am usually all over the bed. When I get up in the night, I go back to bed and I go to sleep very quick. I LOVE IT!!!

Never having used a weighted blanket, I had no idea what it would be like. Well, it is heavy but not in an oppressive way, more of a comforting, relaxing way. Being heavy, I thought I'd get overheated, even though it says cooling blanket, I was skeptical. I did NOT get overheated, did not even stick my feet out as I usually do. Bottom line, I slept extra sound & woke earlier than usual more rested!

When I was a kid, once I got sick with a high fever. My parents put army blankets on me to keep me warm and they felt so good, cozy, and heavy. They stopped my shivering. That's why I wanted one of these weighted blankets because sometimes you need that feeling of warmth and kind of like being cuddled or hugged. I truly understand the concept of the weighted blanket because I always remember that feeling fondly and have craved many times. So in trying this one, I found it it does just that. It's a little warm for the Spring but maybe not for air conditioned Summer. But I find that I really like it.  I will like it a lot more in the Winter. It has the cooling technology but it's still a heavy blanket. I'm looking forward to using it when its cold. I like that I can wash the cover. It's like a duvet and the blanket with the glass beads ties onto the inside. I like the size also because it doesn't shift around so you don't need alot of blanket. This fits on one side of a full sized bed which is perfect and preferable. I definitely get this concept.

I wanted this weighted blanket because I've been under some stress ,this blanket worked magic. I slept peaceful, more sound and I had pleasant dreams as well. I even fell asleep faster and was in a deep sleep too. The next morning, I felt rejuvenated. Overall I had a restful, peaceful night each night I highly recommend this weighted blanket.

We have a 130 lb autistic child that needs the heavier weighted blanket it's great for his size and what it does with helping keeping him cooled off as well it is the best ever weighted blanket —-take caution with the zipper and place it at their foot as it can be aggravating or messed with to make a big Ike's mess-it's worth it!

I got into this blanket which is made like a sleeping bag, you climb into it, it made me feel like one a winter day when your hands and feet feel frozen and your body is shivering and then you get into a warm shower and it feels like cosy, warm and with a lot of relief. I had no idea that weight on your body could feel like a hug, but it really does. I had just gotten up after sleeping the entire night and then climbed into this blanket and immediately I felt sleepy again and extremely comfortable. I gave 4 stars because personally I believe that cotton or linen or wool or silk which are pure products, are better for you than polyester. It has a cover on the top only which is removal for washing. This is a super blanket to take camping in cooler weather as well as it is really very warm, thick and comfortable. I got the gray color and it is good as it matches absolutely everything.

Love this weighted blanket. It took me a minute to get comfortable with the weight of the blanket. It really did keep my body cool and I was a bit skeptical because we were going through a heatwave when I first used this. I can't wait to use this during the winter.

This is my first weighted blanket. I have been hearing from a lot of people that they are amazing, so I wanted to try one. This specific one from Allswell is 12 pounds. That didn't sound like a lot to me, but it is pretty hefty when I'm trying to carry it. I'm not super weak either. For this reason, I would suggest probably keeping it where you want to use it and not carrying it around unless you want to work on your muscles. It is 48 inches by 72 inches, which is just enough for a personal size. The blanket is basically constructed like a duvet. The exterior layer is the washable part, and it has a zipper. Unzip and inside is the actual weighted blanket, attached with straps like you would tie a comforter into a duvet cover. Personally, I'm not a fan of this construction style, but it would be ideal for washing. The fabric is nice and soft, and it does actually feel cool. I expected to be super hot within minutes, but it really didnt5feel too warm to me. Honestly, when the blanket was on me, I didn't even feel the weight. It just felt like a normal blanket. I was worried that I would feel trapped under it, but it was actually nice. The box also says it is made with nanobionic technology. I really have no idea what that specifically is, other than the box says it helps restore and recover the body, and can increase blood flow. Overall, I'm open to the idea of this blanket, though I don't want to heft the 12 pounds around in the summer.

This Allswell cooling weighted blanket is worthless! I had high hopes because I have heard great things about weighted blankets. This blanket is horribly designed. The filling are in individual pockets but the fabric is too thin to support the weight so once you cover up with it all the pockets pull down the side and you end up with a big ball of weighted pockets on each side. The cover it comes with is nice I must say but pointless. The insert with the weights only connects to the cover by little duvet strings. Nothing about this design supports 20lbs of weight! I will not use this again.
