I've been using this for a while and it helps with breakouts on my skin. The color match is pretty spot on so no complaints there. I like that this incorporates aloe and Vitamin E and hydrates my skin as well. I've recommended this to coworkers and friends because I feel this benefits the skin.
I have been using this foundation for a little over a year now. I have purchased and used other foundations during this time but I always go back to this foundations it matches my completion all year round, my skin does not break out and keeps my oilyness under control. I LOVE this foundation!
I have been using this foundation for 4 years now, it was the first foundation I had ever used when I started makeup. I think they have great shades and it's a natural looking foundation. The coverage isn't too intense, but if you're looking for something light, this is great. I use the shade 200 and it matches my skin tone perfectly, i will probably use this foundation for quite awhile, I'm glad I found this.
This foundation has been my favoite for years. The only thing I hated about it was that the lightest shade ivory was quite too dark for me. It seriously has always lasted all day, never emphasized pores or dryness, even tends to look better as the day went on... I recently picked it up once more after trying out different things to try and find something that would fit my pale skin better, but had to come back because I just can't find anything as long lasting and beautiful as this. So I grabbed the lightest shade- per usual, and then later on when I dispenced it I noticed that it looked lighter than before, so I checked the shade and discovered they had made a new, lighter shade!!!!!!! Couldn't be happier!!!!!!!!!!! It almost fits my skin in the light and doesn't leave as obvious a line on my neck and still preforms as well, in fact, they reformulated this and I feel like it's even better.... now it has 2% sa instead of .05%. It also looks glowy-er in my opinion. I had contacted the company several times in the past requesting and pleading that they make a lighter shade of this and I and thrilled they actually listened. Sometimes the lightest shade of foundation somehow doesn't preform the same as the other shades (who knows why?), but this one is perfect. I'll probably use this every day now! I'll no longer need to mix foundations! I hope they make an even lighter one in the future, as this isn't a perfect match but its SO much better. Thank you so much for listening to your customers! Pale girls need to match their neck!
I'm SO sad and frustrated the formula has changed. My skin doesn't like this formula AT ALL. I have pimples all over my face by the end of the day. I have never had this issue ever, so I know it is the makeup. To add to that, I was shade “porcelain” before the formula change so that's what I ordered. It's not even close! So much darker, it's more in line with the shade 300. Don't waste your money on this one. I need to find a new foundation now, it's literally taken me years to find a foundation that worked and now I'm back at square one.
I have been using this for the past 8 years. I do not like the new formula at all. They cut the salicylic acid used in the product by half which has taken away from the product's effectiveness for me. I know they say it is to make it gentler on the skin but I wonder if it was a cost cutting measure for them??? Since switching, my face is breaking out and the new formula is oily and the color is not the same. Why change a good thing? Now the task of finding a new foundation!
I bought this a month ago when the original clear complexion was no longer available. I was extremely disappointed. The original went on my face smooth and flawless and had the perfect amount of coverage. Also helped my complexion. The new one smears on with little coverage and my face has become oily and just feels gross when I wear it. I'm so sad they stopped making the original. It was already perfect!
I have used this foundation for years. My daughters have also been using it with great results. We loved everything about it, coverage, shade, blended perfectly, improved acne, etc. I was so bummed to see that the formula has changed (bottle with the green design). The shade that I have always bought no longer matches my skin, it is thicker & gross feeling, it does not blend well, and looks terrible on my face. My daughters tried it also and both agreed it was horrible. I don't understand why this company would change something that was already perfect? Did they even have anyone test this before making this big change? I wish there was a way to still buy the old formula. Now I have to throw away the two bottles I ordered & start to look for another brand :(
This new formula is just awful. It makes my skin SO oily, and has caused major breakouts. I'd used the old formula for years with so much success. The old formula has light, and didn't clog pores. The new formula is much thicker, and feels heavy on my skin. After decades of being a loyal Almat customer, I'm now searching for a new brand. So frustrating.
This was MY foundation. I've used this foundation for 10+ years. I even used it before they even had the color porcelain formulated. Once they formulated porcelain I was so happy because it was light and fair enough for my skin. However, the new porcelain color is a good 3 shades deeper and ORANGE. The undertone is so unbelievably orange. I don't understand how that is considered porcelain. I bought 2 bottles thinking they were the same color, hopefully I can get a refund. I'm sad I guess I'll have to find a new holy grail.
