Almay Mega Volume Waterpoof Mascara, Black

I like it . No allergies to eyes . Just didn't give me the volume I wanted . Would I buy it again? Definitely 🥰

Great mascara. This was really good at lengthening and adding volume to my lashes. True to the name, I only used one coat. As you can see, it did pretty well. I have pretty thin eyelashes so I really need something that multiplies and lengthens. I felt this did the trick. The brush is a pretty different design as well. I think that helped with the ability to get such volume and length with one coat. As stated before, I have pretty thin lashes. If yours are thicker than mine this is heaven sent.

I immediately noticed a difference after applying one coat of mascara. Attached are two photos which document that effect of this mascara. My makeup preference is a subtle, natural look and in my opinion Almay One Coat Mega Volume Mascara provided exactly what I wanted. Minus one star as I experienced slight clumping on my lashes, something I loathe about mascara. Nevertheless, I thought the mascara offered a pop to my fresh-face look.

I like this Almay One Coat Mega Volume Mascara. Of course through my 33 years I have had many mascaras so I have a lot to compare it to. I wouldn't say it is the best I have ever had but it definitely does the job nicely and isn't clumpy like others I have had. It is a nice deep rich black and lasts all day for me. It makes my lashes look longer which is what I liked the most about it so far because I have really short eyelashes and am always looking for mascara that can do that. I recommend this as this is a good quality product that lasts.

I was pleased with the product arriving earlier than expected and in good condition, but I wanted waterproof mascara. Not certain if I mis-picked when placing the order, but that was my disappointment and reason for return.

The Almay One Coat Mega Volume is thick for sure. It was too much to do a second coat. So if you don't like how it looks with one coat, it looks worse with two. I think if you have decent lashes and want a boost this is perfect! I have very light thin lashes and need all the help I can get. So for me, this will not be the one I use. The applicator is wide on the top and thin on the bottom. This is so you can basically load globs on your lashes before combing thru. I did not like this. It felt like just clumping and sloppy. I also felt with the big flared end of the brush blocked my view in the application process a few times. I felt I was turning my head and moving the brush at all angles. In the application I got mascara on my lids and had to try and get that off. Way too complicated for just mascara. I have sensitive eyes, so I wanted to be sure to wear this all day. I was aware of the mascara, but I did not get red eyes or swollen eyes the next day. That is a plus. This is not water proof. It comes off with water, but felt like it was almost oily thick in trying to get off. It was not a very quick removal.

I saw that the packaging was older and looked closer at it and saw that it was made or initially distributed in 2016...ten years ago!??! How could that still be for sale? Needless to say I was very disappointed!

I would give it a zero if I could. The brush was so dried out it was hard to remove. I put water on it but did not help
