Terrific cereal but costly.

Phyllis August 7, 2025

This cereal is fabulous. Taste is terrific and texture great with nuts as well. My only negative comment is the price. And the fact that it is not available in store. I'm sure due to the cost it wouldn't move off the shelf quickly. I have to order online.

Love Alpen No-Sugar added Muesli !!

BatgirlTX April 2, 2026

Searched high and low for an interesting muesli without all the added sugars, this is the winner! Sugar is so toxic for our bodies so I don't want in a muesli that I'll add to greek yogurt for a break-fast. I'll take my "added" sugars in a great tiramisu dessert :)

My family's favorite muesli

Ali D April 30, 2017

Our go-to breakfast, especially since Alpen is delicious and nutritious. (Go, fiber!) And ordering from Jet is an easy way to make sure we never run out. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

why mess with something good and make worse

mike May 15, 2026

It was great before they decided to change it. It lost its appeal to me. More salt and les taste. My only hope they still have people who remember how to do it right and they will return back to what it was. Probably if we write enough comments like this they will listen.

New recipe ruined the cereal—iron added

Miguel June 6, 2026

I bought the no sugar version of Alpen muesli for many years. Recently, I noticed a dramatic difference in taste. Worse, this cereal made me feel sick. I have a genetic predisposition to being sensitive to iron. I looked at the ingredients list, and they have added reduced iron to the cereal. I am certain that this has contributed to some of the taste issues that some other people have complained about. But for those like me who can't tolerate added iron, this is also a health problem. I will never buy this cereal again. Buyer beware!

'New' recipe disappoints

Earl the Squirrel May 14, 2026

I used to look forward to eating my help every day. When the six pack of new recipe boxes came there wasn't any wording change on the box, but it looked weird. Then I looked at the ingredients and they're different. Way more sodium. I gave it a chance. One box in to my six pack and I don't know how I'm gonna make it through the other five.… I used to look forward to this cereal so much. Now I just look forward to being done with it, and missing the old days.… Is there any chance they might still offer the old formula in the future?

Terrible new recipe

Mel May 24, 2026

I have relied on Alpen no sugar added muesli for years as a healthy cereal. I loved it. It was unavailable for several weeks at my grocery store, so when it was suddenly back I bought 5 boxes just in case! Right away I noticed the difference. Way too many raisins and generally bland, without any taste. It's so bad that I'm forcing myself to finish the open box and will give the other 4 boxes to the local food bank. I never write product reviews, but this was so disappointing that something needs to be done. I actually went online to try to find leftover boxes of the old recipe!

They messed with the recipe and it's terrible now

SadMuesliEater April 13, 2026

Way more sodium, way worse and somehow blander texture that is unpleasant to chew. The box was misleading too with zero indication that the formula had changed, but I could tell immediately and confirmed when taking a bite. This sucks, it was my favorite and they kinda ruined it.

Too salty after change!

Steve April 24, 2026

The no sugar added one tastes funny now. It also smells weird. It was a pantry staple but I don't think I'll buy it again. The Dorset brand no sugar added museli is a good alternative.
