Great Bar for Home Workouts

Garan May 21, 2026

This Olympic bar is solid for basic weightlifting and powerlifting workouts. It has a good weight and feels balanced during lifts. The grip is comfortable, and it works well with Olympic plates. Great option for a home gym.

💯quality, recommended, ships fast

Scott December 6, 2024

Packaging was a little rough, expected, but the product wasn't harmed, packaged well around the product. Superfast shipping, well ahead of estimate. This weight lifting bar is a quality product. It's what one would expect in a gymnasium. Highly recommend, would order again if needed.

Decent Olympic Bar

Took one star off given the package arrived damaged and one weight pin was missing. Bar looks great, can't wait to try it but have to buy a corner weight pin set first.

DECENT BAR, TERRIBLE PACKAGING, MISSING CLAMP

ALXinNYC February 3, 2026

The bar itself seems pretty solid. Good beginner bar, knurling and grip seems adequate. However, I haven't been able to use it yet because it came in a shredded tube that was open at the top and split in the middle, so only one of the "included" clamps arrived. The packaging is definitely part of the problem, but looking at prior reviews with the same issue over the last couple of years, it seems like a calculated plan to get people to separately order clamps and collars because it doesn't make sense to return the whole bar for 1 clamp and risk the same thing happening again - or worse, FedEx losing the bar altogether, like they did with the first one that was ordered. HOW DO YOU LOSE A 7 FOOT LONG 45lb BAR????? Overall, the product itself seems fairly good, but the packaging is terrible and FedEx shipping is a disaster!

Outstanding value marred by a horrible shipment.

Joe February 10, 2026

This is how it came, with only one end having the cardboard tubing intact. I'm giving this a 3-star review due to the packaging and 1-week late arrival time. What a mess in terms of shipment. The product is better than 3 stars given the price, but my experience sours that score. The barbell is functional and the bearings feel smooth. I did not have to make adjustments to it, which honestly surprises me. I was expecting to have a loose hex bolt, but they were snug. I could not care less about scuffs or scratches, I use Strength Co. plates and the bar is going to experience normal wear and tear due to using iron plates. Running my hand along the metal, there's no burrs or sharp bits of stray metal to be found. It's usable without gloves right away. I have a Texas Power Bar that costs about 7x what I paid for this barbell, and while that barbell was machined much more nicely and has actual knurling that digs deep and bites into skin with authority for deadlifts, this is still an Olympic barbell for an incredible price. The knurling isn't great (too gentle for my liking) and the machining is mediocre (especially on the sleeves), but for this price that's all forgivable. This is the type of bar you'd find at a public gym and wouldn't think twice about using when all the others are taken. It works fine. It's still an Olympic barbell, after all. I don't think I would buy this as my main bar. Spend more for a real bar with actual grip if you love deadlifts. As an additional bar, however, this is great. I got tired of having to move my bar in and out of my power rack. Now I can leave this bar inside the rack for squats and bench, utilizing my rack's safety straps while the Texas bar can live outside the rack for deadlifts and stay there. At the end of the day, that's all I wanted, I just wish it had made transit more smoothly.

Not a standard 2” barbell

DoctorK December 31, 2024

So, I received this barbell as part of a set of colored bumper plates (370lbs set). The barbell is fine quality, but it's not a standard 2” barbell. I have a pair of barbell locks that fit every other barbell I have but do not fit this bar. The good news is that the included clamps work fine. For as cheap as it was, it's not worth complaining about. In general, I've ordered from this company (BalanceFrom / Signature Fitness) several times. When you get a good quality product, the value is incredible. But sometimes you get products like this: Usable, but not quite what was advertised. Normally, the bumper plates are solid (although I did receive a pair with some cosmetic damage). But the barbells and other fitness equipment is always a slight gamble.

Bad delivery, good equipment.

Damian May 10, 2025

The equipment is of great quality, but be warned that if the delivery person puts a hole in your garage door with it - Walmart will not accept reaponsibility for the damages. They will say it was the delivery company, Fedex in this case, who will then say that the damages are not their responsibilty - but Walmart's responsibility. If you file a claim with Fedex, you'll get the response "our shipping contract is with the shipper of the package. The shipper has agreed they would not file claims for their shipments. Please contact the shipper for any issues of loss, damage, or delay to your shipment". So then if you contact Walmart, they will tell you that they'll "talk to the driver, and that they are sorry for the damages".

Missing Part

Nathan December 8, 2024

Product came missing a bolt to attach the sleeve so it fell off and almost broke my garage floor when the box was opened. So now it is in two parts and in order to use it I have to find a replacement bolt and tool. Also the sleeve that fell of is very rusted out of the box. Other than that would be a decent bar if it came with all the parts and wasn't rusted but very disappointed and will be returning.

Not as described

Stokes May 11, 2021

The image shows a bar with smooth chrome sleeves. But the bar I received doesnt have a smooth chrome finish on the sleeves. They have rugged textured sleeves, that cause metal shavings to chip off each time I load or unload a weight plate. And because of the texture, the plates do not slide on easily.
