ALPS Mountaineering Taurus 6 Tent

I bought the 6 person Taurus so I can camp with the whole family. There are only 4 of us so I always buy up a size or two for the elbow room. I also own an Alps two person backpacking tent that has lasted for years and has gone through a lot of wind and rain. I bought the 6 person Taurus because other tents this same size leak or flood after 3-4 hours of rain. With this particular rain fly style I've had great success in the smaller size so here is to hoping it holds up just as well.

Perfect for car camping ⛺️. Easy to set up and take down. Packs nicely into the carry bag. Material is good quality and didn't let the rain or wind in.

The tent is exactly as I expected, nice and roomy and easy to set up and take down. I am giving it 3 stars for the same reason, I am going to start giving all the camping equipment I buy a 3-star rating, the bag. Why does every piece of camping equipment I purchase come with a bag that is 3 sizes too small? I should never spend more time putting something into a bag than I spend setting it up. For the money they charge, it would seem they could afford to at least make a bag that does not have to be drum skin tight. I would actually be willing to pay a few bucks extra to cover the additional material.
