I received this speaker as an X-mas present and was extremely impressed with all aspects of this speaker. It's very small but incredibly loud and very, very good sound quality. The battery life is really good as well and to top it all off its basically life proof (water/dust/snow/shock-proof).

Very rugged, great for children.

Overall - we like the speaker and the fact it fits in your pocket, and for it's size the sound is pretty darn good. But.... We also purchased the original version of this and without a doubt it will be returned because after about 60 days (of twice a day use) the automatic Bluetooth connection would disconnect and then freeze, and cause some other strange problems like pausing or skipping around the song playlist while it was playing. As mentioned by other reviewers for this product earlier versions, this item has a LOUD annoying advertisement "Welcome to Altec Lansing" that CAN NOT be disabled or turned down. There are a lot of complaints about this, and I mean a lot. So what did Altec Lansing decide to do for this Version 3. They apparently could care less what people are complaining about and set the voice announcement AS LOUD AS THEY POSSIBLY COULD. And I MEAN IT IS AT MAXIMUM VOLUME LOUD. Way to go Altec really shows how you listen to your customers

Sound quality isnt the best but its decent.

I have always liked Altec Lansing Speakers, have them in my car, on my computers in my office. And based on my previous experience purchased this speaker. Wow what a piece of junk, I would use another term but ... if I could give this product a negative rating or an 1/8th of a star, that would be my rating Don't buy this speaker, it wont hold a charge. what use is a wireless speaker that can be used unless it is plugged in. Altec lansing have really blown it on this, buy anything else, stick you phone or ipod in a pringles can, at least you can use it without having to be plugged in to a power source

Bluetooth is not recognised on any of my devices so I have to use the aux cable. I have tried everything. The sound is awful if I turn it up louder then what my phone speaker sounds like it crackles and if I don't what's the point. Do not waste your money on this piece of trash.

The sound is very good. Price was good. Exactly what I wanted to use with my ipad...but as soon as I turn it on the ipad freezes. Everytime. So what good is it?
