Altec Lansing SmartStream X Portable Wi-Fi Speaker with Google Chromecast, Black

This speaker is SOLID product. Has the feel of the new BEATS pill, but at a fraction of the price and bigger and more powerful 30 watt speaker. The bass is muddy but that is to be expected with it's powered sub-woofer being like the beats pill. This thing excels in vocal clarity. I can clearly hear the vocals, and understand every word sang, rapped, or screamed. I paired two of these and the Google Home app is so easy to use. Casting is a snap and the speakers group can be set up for the speakers volume to be set up with a ratio when adjusting the master volume. VERY minimalist packaging, setup, literature and use. You can pay for flash or just buy this quality item at a fair price. JBL (JB Lansing) and Altec Lansing have been making quality products at an affordable price and this is no different. Can't wait till the SMARTSTREAM XL SHS300 comes out.

I found four of these on clearance at a local store and decided to try my luck with them. I am glad that I did. One of the easiest setup processes I have ever had using new technology. ALTEC LANSING did an excellent job with engineering and details on this speaker. I am using them over my Wi-Fi connection to create a whole home audio system wirelessly using their built-in chromecast audio feature. It's a pity they seem to be discontinuing this model. Hopefully they will bring out an upgraded version, although I can't think of anything that would make it better other than possibly longer battery life (already 8 hours).

DO NOT BUY THIS TRASH. Will not stay connected to device. But another speaker because this is unreliable.
