I never received it and I was told that I cancelled it. I did not ..! I want my Altec landings redelivered to me. I am disabled
it works great for the price! The instructions are in the box, just read them. I found the set up to be very easy.
I bought 1 and I hesitated on connecting because I was afraid of disappointment. Two weeks later I decided to hook it up . To my surprise the camera work excellent and I love the speaker never forget anything else with Google by your side. I was so happy with it I rushed to Walmart for another one and luckily it was three left and I bought two more.
Nice sounding and high quality Google connected speaker, but i shut it off becuase it kept randomly blinking as if it was listening without anyone saying the trigger phrase. The cam is the reason I bought the set, and is an okay bare-bones security camera for indoor use. The night vision is useless but daytime image quality is great, and the Altec app works well (although it was down the day i bought the system, hasnt had any issues since). It will need an SD card to record anything, or a paid subscription to their app cloud storage. I would've given 3 stars as i find this package deal to be alright for the price but... just alright. Why I didn't rate 3 is due to the fact I was looking for additional cameras to add to my set up, but couldnt find them sold separately. I messaged Altec Lansing and they said there is no plan to sell them seperately without the speaker. I dont need the one speaker, let alone 2 or 3 more lol.
Easy to set up clear in wit tba lights on but once u turn off tha lights u can't see anything and if ur lights go out or power is cut ur done it plugs in so its a waist of money i bought it for 45$ reg price online is 99$ still not worth it sorr night owl its a no for me a total fail please improve this and u may win me back!!
This product is absolutely trash. I tried to connect the camera which didn't work at all. I could tell it was cheap knowing that this same company owns vivitar which is also bad but I didn't let that bother me much since the speaker worked, we'll that's what I thought. I unplugged it once to move it to another room and it ended up not working. If I could rate 0 star's I would.
Got this today for a Christmas gift from my hubby. Was so excited. Read directions (paper and online), called tech supoort, called ISP. Still couldnât get this camera to connect (yes using the recommended Ghz). The speaker worked just fine! I hope my husband isnât too upset because he prides himself on gift giving to me. ð¢ BTW tech support was about as useless as could be. I tried probably a dozen or more times in hopes of not disappointing my husband but back it goes
Tech support says that you can only record events manually unless you purchase a cloud subscription. So make sure to keep your phone on you in the shower and while you are asleep and while on a roller coaster or stuck in traffic or in the hospital, a movie theater, etc. so you are ready to push record after opening the app, and spending a minute to get the camera pulled up instead of calling 911 so you can have the footage for the police later or pay for a cloud subscription. Oh, and the speaker isn't the greatest. It used to be a good speaker so I bought another. Neither speaker charge port is good. I wish at least one of these products in the box worked right. FYI, their tech support is really awful and rude.
Ive bought SIGNIFICANTLY cheaper cameras, and they werent garabage like this! I can format my sd card but the app doesnt allow you to turn it on?!?!? NOT WORTH $90!!! Side note: speaker is the only saving grace of this purchase
Will not connect to wifi if your router supports 5ghz. It is only a 2.4ghz camera, called support and all he would say is "Call your ISP to have them turn off 5ghz, it will recognize 5ghz over 2.4ghz and will not connect." If you only have 2.4ghz then you might be okay to try this piece of garbage. I really wish I had listened to all the negative reviews.
