dries harder than the normal grey or white air dry. I've had very little issue with chipping. for anything deep or thick definitely dig out the inside or use filler material or will crack when drying. important to dry evenly. I even repaired a dried piece with wet clay and let a damp cloth sit over it. the moisture equalized into the dry and then dried together. product arrived quickly!!

I have used this product for years in my classroom, but something about this recent batch I ordered is different. Maybe they came up with a new formula, but it STINKS awful like formaldehyde. It stinks up the whole classroom and lingers for a long time afterwards. My classroom smells like a science lab during dissection lessons. barf. Other than that it's a really good product, but I will likely be looking for something else for our next school year.

After purchasing 4 boxes of this clay a couple of months ago, I opened them up to find that there was mold on the clay in each box. I didn't have time to order different clay because I was planning to use it the following day. I cut the mold off and proceeded to use it with students since it was only on the surface and hadn't spread to the inside of the clay. Unfortunately, when we started working with the clay we noticed that it had a very strong, displeasing smell. The clay gives off a sour, vomit-like smell which has permeated my classroom and made it a very unpleasant place to work. I'm not sure if the clay always smells like that or if it's a reaction from the mold, but I will not order it again.
