AMACO Rub 'n Buff Metallic Wax

Have used product on several thrifted items and was able to get a whole new look! Easy to use, a little goes a long way. Purchased at a sale price. Only negative was mailer, did not provide adequate protection to tubes, One tube came pretty crushed but did not affect product.

Although it is traditionally used to touch up picture frames, I've found many other uses for it. Think of it as a metallic paint in paste form that is fairly durable and can be easily touched up when it wears through. I coated the drawer pulls on a vintage vanity that are very detailed, so I used a 1/8" flat acrylic brush with angled bristles and it worked great. I let them dry before lightly buffing them, then I rubbed a tiny bit on the high spots in a closely related color. I like to wear disposable gloves and apply it with brushes or make-up applicators, but most people use their fingers.

I saw these lil tubes of magic on an antique restoring video. I had never seen or heard of Rub ‘n Buff before. Wow! Ive been missing out on this easy to use product that everyone else seemed to have been using. Its the best kept secret! I bought the variety pack. Has 2 colors of Gold (antique %26 gold leaf), silver %26 black. As soon as it was delivered, i busted out the black tube to touch up the frames that were dinged up during the move. Applying it was so easy. I put a dab on my finger and rubbed it on the frame. The coverage was smooth and u can build it up. With another finger, i buffed out the dab i rubbed on the frame. (Get it!?! Rub ‘n Buff!) The finish was flawless! I started to go around my place, looking for stuff to Rub ‘n Buff!

Very useful product with many uses. Very simple to use. Adds depth to any project, taking finish from one dimensional and cheap to high end.

An essential for an avid crafter. I saw this mentioned for making minatures. Adds warmth and depth to custom creations.

Works perfectly only suggestion is to wear gloves otherwise you will have color all over that has to wear off

Rub N Buff is a product all crafters should have in their toolbox!

Product is terrific for craft projects. The order arrived as scheduled. I was NOT pleased that the products were damaged. They were just loose in the envelope with no protection. The rub n buff tubes were damaged and a couple of them were leaking.
