Great unit , runs effectively. most of all the best value from a trusted manufacturer
This dehumidifier exceeded my expectations. It will filter the humidity for days before I need to empty the tank. The basement feels dry at all times. Has multiple settings. The only downside is that it can be heard but since it's in the basement and I'm usually not there I can't hear it unless I go down to do laundry or store something which is not often. Works perfectly! Highly recommend.
This is a nice dehumidifier. Size seems more compact than others I have looked at. It shuts off when bin is full, has 2 fan speeds, and caster wheels that make it easy to move around from room to room. The noise level is not as bad as I was expecting, comparable to a slight air conditioner hum.
I am absolutely impressed with this Dehumidifier performance: it is extremely effective delivering everything it promises! It is super easy to use and set, and I love that I can love it around whenever I need it without having to ask for help. I have it inside my walking/in closet that is located next to our naster bathroom and It keeps humidity away without any inconvenience. I am so happy with it that I already ordered another one for a different are of our house.
Bought this a month ago to replace a 20-year-old GE unit. Somewhat noisy but about the same as old unit. Water reservoir is not as convenient and often sloshes out when removing it to empty. Price a bit high but so far it does the job.
After using this Amana 35 Pint Dehumidifier for awhile, now my bedroom doesn't feel "damp", as it did before now. I didn't realize that my bedroom was damp, or even that it actually had moisture in the air, until after I starting using this dehumidifier. I like the fact that it Is on wheels, so I can easily move it to various sites. Using this dehumidifier can also control pest infestations, because they extract moisture from their surroundings to survive. One of the major benefits of having this dehumidifier, is that it helps to control the dust. I would recommend this to anybody that needs to remove the dampness from their home. The only reason for giving it 4 stars, is that it is kind of loud, but not bad enough to stop me from using it.
This Amana Dehumidifier holds 35 pints with a bucket full indicator and the unit will automatically turn off when it's full. It is on rollers and has a low and high fan speed with a digital humidity level selector. It does have a timer and will automatically turn off up to 14 hours. It is recommended that you use in a single outlet circuit only.
Amazed that the product label indicated the dehumidifier was manufactured November 2020. (5 years ago) The unit will not automatically shut off when it has reached the humidity setting on the dial. The unit will occasionally switch the fan speed from low to high automatically with no input from us. I suspect that the unit is not fully charged with coolant .(maybe because of its age) The warranty suggest you have their repair agent look at the unit to determine what needs repair. And, of course, we pay the call if it is determined there is nothing wrong with the unit. They say ,do not return the unit to the retailer. Very disappointed, Would return the unit if it was not such a hassle to box it up and get out of the basement. (I am 87)
This Amana Dehumidifier has some nice features. The fill bucket is a good size so you shouldn't have to empty it often unless you live in a place with daily high huminity. It's pretty heavy but has wheels! There are only two speeds, high and low , but you can select the level of humidity ftom 30 - 80. It stands 21 inches high, it's 15 inches wide and 12 inches deep so it doesn't take up much space. The filter is located above the fill bucket. The instructions don't say that though. Take the bucket out, then reach up and you'll feel a handle. It's a little tough to pull out but pull it towards you a little and pull down, it releases better. Also you really have to push to get the bucket back in. I was afraid i would break the fill indicator tab but i didn't. Also, you can remove the lid of the fill bucket to wash the inside! It seems to work pretty well. I've ran it on several days with 65-85 humidity, pretty rainy days and it made the house more comfortable. But......OMG IT'S LOUD. Its louder than my air conditioner. I have to double the tv volume to hear any show, and that's on LOW! Im going to move it to my back bedroom and see if it still works as well because I cant take the constant loud humming :(
The unit makes a lot of noise. I personally can not be anywhere near it while it's on because it's very distracting. It's too heavy to keep repositioning to different areas of the room (I used it in the basement). It gets hot to the touch and I'm uneasy with this. I wouldn't trust leaving it unattended. It appears to do it's job but is just too loud, inconvenient and without leaving me with peace of mind.
