Amazfit Bip S Fitness Smart Watch: 40 Day Battery Life - Heart Rate - Silicone Watchband

I'm really enjoying my new activity tracker. I didn't need anything complicated. Just want a tracker that I could wear and would communicate with my smartphone. I did not want to subscribe to anything. This actually does a lot more. Very impressed. It isn't hard to setup either. You can from many different faces.

Have used this for swimming, the gym, and running. Works great! It does require an inital sync with the app to install updates, but afterwards works great without being paired. GPS is very accurate and works great. For the price and feature set, I don't think you can find a better deal. Highly recommend!

It has an amazingly long battery. It tells me "Get up and move!" while I am at my job desk. It has 3 alarms at different times on same day, which reminds me to take my meds. Plus, it does all the exercising stats: route and distance you walk, pulse, etc. It can also tell you distance you have driven. Those are the pros. The only cons I see, there is no manual, so you have to learn all the features by playing with the watch. There's plenty of help in Zepp comunity online, though.

This is an inexpensive watch with a big benefit: the face is always visible even when off (transflective). I don't want any other kind. The fancier watches from this manufacturer are not transflective, and that makes no sense to me. One big downside is that the apps are complex. I want to see the time down to seconds. To do that on Android, I installed three apps: Zepp, Notify for Amazfit, and AmazFit BIP S Watchfaces. I actually paid for one app, Tools

The best feature of the Bip, both the original and the S is the reflective screen which looks far better outdoors, where you're likely to use a fitness watch, than indoors. And the screen consumes very little power. I tried another fitness tracker with an OLED screen and it was hard to see in bright sunlight so I returned it. So if you want a watch and pedometer that's easy to read outside, this is the one. (Note that newer versions of the Amazfit Bip did away with the reflective screen; a horrible decision.) Step counts seem very accurate. Other features are not so great, though some do work. Heart rate measurement usually seems about right. Incoming text messages via your phone will display onscreen, but in tiny type that's hard to read. The watch will also vibrate for incoming phone calls. GPS works okay but I don't use it, nor do I use any of the specific sport trackers. Sleep tracking is not accurate at all. It reports I'm sleeping much more than I actually am and it reports 0% REM sleep, which I'm not sure is possible for a human. So if you want sleep tracking, look elsewhere. I'm likely to turn off all the extra features most of the time and only use it as a pedometer and watch, which is all I really need anyway. With simple use like that a charge will last a month or more, I expect.

I bought this watch to put on my cats to see where they've been disappearing to. Every pet tracking device out there requires a subscription of some kind, constant bluetooth connectivity, a SIM card, or gets bad reviews. I didn't need a live track, my cats come back, I just needed a way to document their routes. Something cheap in case they broke the screen. For $40, I figured I could put this watch with built-in GPS around their necks (secured with a tie wrap). When they came home, I'd see where they'd gone. And that's exactly what happened. I also got to see their miles, their heart rate, and how long they just sat around. Now I'm doing the same for myself (plus sleep analysis). Plus, I am having notifications from my phone come in. No, you can't answer texts/emails, but I wouldn't want to type from a device this small anyway. The manual that comes with the watch is a waste of paper, so I had to google a lot of things, but there are videos

The band FEELS a little bit cheap but it LOOKS very nice. Ive only had it a week so we see about the durability but so far Im loving it! I get my messages on my wrist. And have learned things about my sleep habits I have never known before.

Seems like a decent watch for the price. Seems pretty accurate, although I wish I knew more about how the sleep tracker part worked. Don't know if that info is accurate or not. Battery lasts a long time. After 5 days its still at 70%

It's pretty basic and app supports are glitchy had to try a few different apps to set it up properly, and you can only read some messages, no replies. Better off paying extra for the Samsung watches or Apple watches. You get what you pay for.

The cheap plastic buckle broke the first day I had it. I'm lucky it holds itself shut once you actually wriggle the locking arm in place and slide the excess strap thingy over the end. The electronics work just fine though.
