Things I really like about these cameras: 1.) free amcrestview for basic remote viewing; you can pay if you want more features like recording, but it's not a mandatory monthly fee so you can use them as you need and only pay when you want more features on the web view 2.) has a direct interface so you can configure them directly if you wish 3.) pan and tilt work great 4.) picture quality is good, especially considering the great price. Things I wish this had: 1.) would like it if the direct interface didn't require a plugin for pan/tilt/zoon/view. I do these through amcrestview online, so I don't need it, but it would be handy 2.) would like it if the https direct interface worked better; sometimes have to use http which is less secure 3.) one thing that has caused problems is that if something happens and the camera drops from amcrestview, you have to power cycle it to re-add it which you can't do if it's at a remote location and you're not there, so this can be an issue. Overall very very good camera though.
Amcrest software has gotten very good. Easy to use, and compatible with my HomeAssistant and Surveillance setup.
These work great for us. Great price and fast shipping.
Very easy to set up. I had already installed the app on my phone years ago, so installing just meant adding the new cameras by scanning the barcode on the bottom of the cameras. The newer models do have a place for a memory card. It is on the camera itself as opposed to the base where it used to be. At some point, the set up process will encourage you to change your password from the default "admin". Don't try and change it untill you get to that point or you will just get frustrated and leave stupid reviews. I love being able to check things at my home when I am away for a few days. Provides a lot of peice of mind. For the price, it does have a decent picture. I am not trying to see every face of my animals at home, just making sure they have food and water. It has infrared, so you can still see what is going on even if it is dark, it will just be black and white untill the sun comes up, then you have nice colour video....or just leave enough light on in the rooms you want to see colour video in. The app is easy to use. I can have all the cameras in view, then just double tap on one of them so I can see a bigger picture of that individual one. I can have several of them open in the background and swipe to see the next or previous one. If I don't have the pan feature enabled, I can zoom in. With the pan feature enabled, I can direct the camera to circle almost 360 and up and down. Turning the pan feature on and off is as easy as tapping an icon. Prior to this purchase, I already have four set up. I am about to order two more. The two pack is just slightly higher priced than the single pack........it's a no brainer. In short....I love, love, love these cameras. They have given me the freedom to leave my home for several days and still know everything is okay at home.
This was easy to add to our Amcrest app for viewing with our other 8 cameras on the house that are Poe. Not viewable outside your network without a cloud subscription but we view our computer remotely while gone that has the cameras added to the app.
Once setup the cameras operated beautifully. A visitor commented that the images on my laptop from the cameras were exceptional. Much better than the Arlo cameras installed at her home.
I like this camera, the angle can be move, it is very convenient App is easy to use. I had one before, but the camera got jammed after 1 year of use. I will give it one more chance.
I have the older version of the camera and when I broke I bought these for a replacement. These new models do not work. After connecting them to Wi-Fi they will not connect in the Amcrest app even though I can view the camera on my laptop via Wi-Fi. They also removed the zoom function of the camera. It's a shame that they messed up a really nice camera.
the app that is told for me to download in order to use the cameras wont let me connect no cameras it just keeps telling me that my username and password is wrong and i have changed it a few times and it keeps telling me the same thing .. what should i do
One of the worst camera to buy. waste of time this camera does not work on wifi or blue iris The seller wont refund or replace that easily you have to wait for 30 days to reach huston team to get all the approvals. Worst worst worst so much frustration, whatever you do no forum or no proper solution for this camera is provided. Amcrest only dont know how to fix this and selling this crap
