Easy to set up (just be sure to use the correct app) and sturdy. Works great over PoE.

Amazing Picture

BurtM October 5, 2019

This camera has an amazing picture quality and night vision. The camera itself is made of metal not plastic, and it is easy to install like all their cameras. All my cameras I use and install for family and friends will only be Amcrest, solid products and a great support team.

Great camera

RocketMax November 5, 2019

I wanted to upgrade a few of my current cameras, I have had 8 of the 3mp bullets from Amcrest since 2016. Essentially I have one on every corner of my house looking across, the front face of our house is 110 feet long and we have about 50 feet of yard on each side of the house to the property line. This means a front camera was looking about 160 feet, and while I had never had any issues with the 3mp cameras I wanted to see what could get some better details. I also opted to go with the 2.8 mm lens for the larger 112 degree viewing angle. I started by getting one camera and loved the upgrade so much purchased a second within 3 day's. The photo quality is amazing, everyone I have shared pictures or videos with so far has been blown away by the quality. I record all my cameras 24/7 to my nvr, and adding the 4K cams hasn't seemed to make a major impact on storage either. Currently with my 6tb hard drive I am able to store around 23 days of constant footage, which is almost 4500 hours of footage. Nighttime IR is pretty solid as well, it was also great with the 3mp cameras so wouldn't say it's a significant step up in terms of quality, but with only two LEDs on the cameras you do not have that red ring visible around the whole camera at night which is many people do not prefer to be able to see. All in all, these are definitely worth the extra money if you are upgrading or setting up a new system. I will for sure be purchasing more to upgrade my other cameras.

Great 4K camera that can be used with POE NVR's

Ryan November 13, 2020

I have used the Amcrest 4K camera for a couple of weeks with my Lorex 4K NVR and it has been working very well. It provides stunning and crisp 4K video and I have it connected via ethernet POE directly to my NVR for continuous recording. The wide angle of view is incredibly helpful to see any activity and the night vision works very well at a long distance. To get it to work with my NVR, I had to change a parameter on the NVR to make sure it would work and display on my screen with my other cameras. After that, it worked perfectly and I would highly recommend this camera as it will help you keep a close eye on any area of your property you want to watch.

High Resolution Camera

Alex October 4, 2019

This is my best camera. You can easily read license plates from about 30 feet from the lens. Night vision is pretty good. I use this camera with blue Iris so I haven't used any of the internal features. I use the POE feature, but seems easy to run power and network cable. Hard wire is the best way to go. no delay. My other non amcrest camera cut out. this one has 100% uptime.
