AMD has a lot to choose from but after many hours of research this CPU is the most bang for your buck and performs super stable ! It's the most compatible paired with AM5 Motherboards. Specifically with B850 chipsets. It runs at cool temps with pretty much any air cooler under gaming loads. I recommend a discreet GPU and disable the IGP settings in the Bios. Unless you have a high end GPU disable the X3D mode as well. Works well with Gen 4 GPUs and Gen 4 M.2s. Always do your own research prior to choosing any CPU but this is a great $350-$400 option.
Great CPU, basically on par with the Ryzen 9 9900X3D for about half the price. Only benefit you would get from the newer version is more cores. For gaming however, 8 cores is plenty. Most games will not use the full cores of the 9900X3D. Its more for video editing, video encoding.
Not only did Walmart pull through when the other websites couldn't, Walmart was selling it for a bit cheaper!! I also was able to physically go and pick it up instead of waiting and paying for shipping. I was incredibly satisfied and left with a smile on my face.
10/10 got it shipped out for 366 plus tax and am not disappointed in the slightest i paired it with a new 5060ti and im amazed , currently playing cyberpunk 2077 with ultra ray tracing settings getting 145 fps stable and scaling to 160.
This was a very good upgrade from my ryzen 5 5500 this processor is very good and i would recommend this for anyone wanting a nice upgrade.
This CPU is a beast and it's great for just about any workload or game that you may want to throw at it.
This processor works really good. I upgraded from the ryzen 7600x and I can tell a difference in speed and fps. Will keep this one for a long time.
Works perfectly, one of the best gaming CPUs on the market. I ordered it while it was on sale for $400 and picked it up at the store without any issues.
I was very lucky to get this great CPU. It was hand delivered one day after I ordered it. It's perfect for gaming and just about everything I do with my computer.
On a normal basis I would definitely recommend this cpu to gamers. But the fact that I purchased it and received an empty box was extremely inconvenient and annoying. And now it's taking forever for Walmart to issue me a full refund.
