Great Processor
This is the highest end processor for the AM4 platform. Since AM5 came out and prices are still pretty high it's a good way to stay with AM4 and have a processor that works similarly for gaming as the 5800x3d which, if you can get one, comes at a higher price. But beyond gaming it is great for content creation and multitasking. It will also allow for using the newest 5000 series Nvidia graphics cards and not be too concern about cpu bottleneck.

Stop reviewing poorly because of the cooler
I got my hands on this Ryzen 9 5950x after a year of pros and cons. This is the definitive upgrade for the AM4 platform and I couldn't be happier. People give this product flack for not having a stock cpu cooler, but users need to realize this CPU is 16 cores of heat, two Ryzen 7 5800x glued together. A robust cooling system and thermal paste is a must.

My dumb ahh bought this not knowing that NOT ALL AM4 motherboards can use this. bios didn't support it. Gave it to a friend as a birthday present, he said it works well enough. my fault for not doing research.

Great processor
the processor is great, a fantastic upgrade from my I7 8000 processor i got 5 years ago. every processor i got before this one had come with a basic CPU fan which works great if you dont plan on overclocked or running a high cpu temp for a long period of time. this did not so 3 stars for the added inconvenience of having to go out and find a cpu fan.
