Excellent plant protection

Tugger1981 July 19, 2019

I used this to protect some tomato plants. We have a large gopher and mole issue, but I prefer not to use any chemicals since we have 5 small dogs that like to hunt them. Anything I planted would be uprooted and destroyed within a few days. The plants I used this product on are going on 6 weeks!! We actually have tomato plants! I dug one up to see how the item was holding up, you can see some distention where the animals had tried to burrow through but did not succeed. I highly recommend these to anyone who has the little critters. I will be purchasing more. Everyone is happy, I have my plants, the dogs have their hunting quarry and the gophers can live.

It really works

EMonicaD June 12, 2019

This stuff works! I have tried other bait for the pesky pocket gophers that are tearing up my acre, and none worked as good as this. I bought this with the Yard Butler IGBA-1 Gopher/Mole Bait Applicator. Before I was using a piece of rebar, and then drop the bait down. With the Applicator, made it so much easier, and precise.

Great to keep moles away from plants

vcwalters June 13, 2019

I love my Amdro Mole and Gopher Blocker for Planting; 1 Gallon, 4 pack. I have been having a problem with moles and voles for some time now. They tear up your yard and destroy your plants. Last year they ate all of my new plants that I put out. SO disappointing! SO I am using these blockers. You simply put your plants in these pouches. The moles/voles will not disturb or eat through these blockers. It is awesome. The blockers are made of steel mesh. The ones I have are gallon size, but they come in different sizes. They are easy to install too. If you have issues with moles/voles eating your plants, do try these. They work great!!

Wear Gloves

AZCactusFlower June 17, 2019

When using the Amdro mole/gopher blocker make sure to wear robust gloves. The wires are meant to keep critter's from the plants; which, means the wire is a little abrasive. The wire is flexible stainless steel mesh, and will be beneficial in keeping the ground squirrels and other digging critters from digging under our plants. Put the mesh around the root ball rolling it up as instructed. We made sure to have some steel mesh at the top of the plants, to keep above ground animals from getting close to the plants to eat them. There is enough for 4 plants or less if using 2 blockers for bigger plants and more protection.

Perfect way to protect your plants!

4BlackLabs April 16, 2019

The Amdro Mole and Gopher Blocker for Planting is designed for the easiest way to keep moles, gophers and voles from attacking the roots of your plants! There are 4 stainless steel mesh bags that are gallon size. You dig your hole, open up the mesh bag and put your plant in and then plant it as you normally would leaving the top edge of the mesh bag just a tiny bit above the ground level. There is no way any critter is going to be able to bite their way through that metal! You can use them to plant your vegetable plants and shrubs! They're safe for pets and children and come with a money back guarantee. You can't lose! This is the easiest way I've ever seen to be able to have a beautiful garden protected against gophers! I am already telling my friends and family about them!

A more convenient version of an old solution

roller5k4te July 4, 2019

My grandma used to knock out the bottom of buckets and plant pots to create something much like this for blocking moles from destroying her plants. This is pretty much the same thing, only it's more convenient! It gives plenty of space for the roots to grow, and does a great job at keeping moles away from the fragile roots of plants. Of course, you want to use these while transplanting. The thing I love the most about them though is that they are HUMANE and don't injure the moles in any way. Moles serve a vital role in the environment, so it would be a shame to injure them just for the sake of keeping a plant safe and sound.

Amdro Mole and Gopher Blocker

kdkboy April 21, 2019

I received this to try. I live near the outskirts of town, and do have some Gophers in area. They do like to chew on some of my plants, so I was anxious to see if this would help. This being Spring is time for planting here. The sample I received contains 4 1-gallon Blockers. Very easy to follow directions. I dug the hole opened up a blocker. Planted it into the ground leaving about an inch above ground, then placed the plant into it. This does protect the plant from being eaten. I do like it. I had to go to store to get 4 more boxes, but feel these plants are now protected. I will buy more next year when it is time to plant again. I would recommend these to anyone with a Mole or Gopher problem. I am quite satisfied.

Pure genius!!

Loves2pedal June 14, 2019

I hope whoever invented this product makes a ton of money on it. I had given up trying to grow vegetables in my garden because the critters just attacked the root systems and ruined the plants. I didn't have the money to create above-ground planters so I just gave up. This solution is so simple and I wish I had been the one to dream it up. It's so easy to just dig your holes to a suitable size, open up one of these fascinating items and arrange it into a shape you can put your plant into, set it down into the hole in the ground and put your plant with soil into it. Just regular planting procedure with one additional step of putting the liner into the soil. Who would have thought it could make such a big difference? Not me, but I can see where this is going to be a game-changer for me. Hopefully these are reusable and all I will need to do in the fall is remove them, rinse them off and let them dry before boxing up for the winter. I just think they are a wonderful idea and hopefully they will do the trick in protecting all the roots so my plants will grow.

How Easy Is THIS to use!

valzem April 18, 2019

Saw this offered from the Sparks team and was surprised to find something I didn't realize I needed! Here is FL we have all sorts of different critters that we come across while trying to put our plants in. This is really a fantastic product, it seems to be fairly well made and I put it in a large planter next to our house where we have experienced some damage to our plants due to the burrowing little pests. Hopefully this will deter them though it has not been in the ground long enough for me to determine that. All you have to do is take it out of the package, spread it to its bowl shape and place your plant inside. It's not too stiff so is easy enough to manipulate around your plant. Place in your pre-dug hole and it recommends to keep the top edge of the blocker showing a little bit above grown level for a little more protection from the crawling critters. I am also going to use these in my vegetable garden but for some of the items, like my carrots, I believe I will go get the larger size for those to make sure they have enough space to grow. This size is one gallon which may work for potatoes or onions. Will have to experiment a bit to see which works best. There are four of these blockers in this container so is a nice introduction to the product. Very easy to use and if you have any issues with burrowing critters, I'd recommend you give it a try.

Great invention

GeminiDiva77 April 19, 2019

I received the Amdro Mole and Gopher Blocker from Spark Reviewer in exchange for my honest opinion These really came in handy. I'm redoing my flowers and I definitely didnt want them to be destroyed by underground pests. The box comes with 4 blockers. They are made out of real thin mesh. They are designed for 1 gallon plants. They are real easy to use and the instructions were very well written with an illustration for each step. When you remove the blocker from the box, you put your plant in it. Once the plant is in it, you roll the sides up around the roots. When you plant your plant, you plant as usual but make sure the edges of the blocker are above ground level. These are great for planting anything from shrubs to vegetables. They are children and pet safe.
