Basic, well made bathtub. Holds the heat, easy to

JPGill April 4, 2023

Basic bathtub, but well made, holds the heat in and has ample edge to store things. Very light- easy to lift and carry.

Great quality.

A much nicer option than installing a fiberglass bathtub. This looks much nicer if you want to upgrade your bathroom. This is a classic design.

Beautiful tub and easy to install. Replaced an old cast iron with this. Love American Standard.

Wife Loves the new tub

Thads May 19, 2021

My wife says the tub keeps water warm much longer than our old cast iron. The Princeton is insulated. The finish is high quality. It looks great

If you have the space, go for a larger tub.

sdwh August 10, 2014

This tub is too shallow and too narrow -- down where you are sitting, the inside dimensions are only about 49"L x 21"W 13"D. The porcelain is extremely thin; I already have a scrape that goes all the way through to the cast iron that was made by a workman. I can't imagine this tub holding up to the rigors of kids and their toys.

Disappointed

mmcc June 23, 2021

Looks nice and seemed solid, but within a couple months the metal on the bottom of the tub separated from the foam and created an area that moves and flexes. I imagine that will lead to premature failure of the porcelain coating.

Tub has a bubble, sounds like a mason jar popping

bababrew December 18, 2022

We just had our American Standard Princeton 2391.202 tub installed. The contractor used a 2x4 stringer on the back wall set at the height stipulated in the installation instructions, as well as fender washers to pinch the tub flange to the supporting studs, and a silicone bed on the subfloor. Prior to installation, the subfloor was confirmed to be level. After letting the silicone 'bed' cure for 24 hours, my contractor stood in the tub and noticed that it had a significant "bubble". When stepping on it, the tub flexes noticeably and makes a distinctive sound like a mason jar being popped. He mentioned that this tub may be defective / delaminated. I have posted a video on Dropbox which shows the issue described herein: https://www.dropbox.com/s/gqdysxro41nc7yu/Americast%20Princeton_defective_tub.MOV?dl=0

Terrible tub

Disappointed3 June 4, 2019

Im 5’ tall. Its too shallow. Its very deceiving, it looks deep but its not. In fact when you step out of the tub, use caution because the inside of the tub is at higher level than floor level. I almost fell getting out. I need to put a note so my guests will use caution when stepping out. My contractor bought another american standard, and it still is too shallow. The slip proof isnt that great either
