This was a good value but I had to return it after carefully measuring the overall dimensions and concluding that it would be considered oversized by the airline I am using for an upcoming trip. Too bad. But, I ordered the 24” version of the same brand.
My husband and I each took one of these on a 7 day cruise. They held up well to airline and cruise ship handling. This size provided more than enough room for all our heavy cold weather clothes plus the souvenirs and heavy coats that we bought on the trip. Due to their size, they are a little challenging to maneuver through the airport to the check in desk, but the wheels worked well. You definitely want to check the weight before going to the airport as these suitcases will easily hold more than the 50 lb limit that most airlines impose. (We took a luggage scale with us to check this before the return trip.)
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought 4 items to replace a 25 year old set of American Tourister luggage. Thrse all seem to be of really good quality. They glide across the floor really well. I'm looking forward to many years of use from these.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This large luggage is perfect for long trips! It's spacious, easy to roll, and feels sturdy. I love how well it holds everything without feeling too bulky. Great value and reliable for travel
Really liked the luggage but will have to return it as the linear inches adds up to 64.5 (20”L x 12”D x 32.5”H) as the airlines when measuring include the wheels. It exceeds their limit of 62 inches. I don't want to take the chance of being charged for oversized luggage. 🥲
Did the job. Top handle stiching was a little loose, came off right after my first travel. Would have considered replacement but had an immediate need. Has a holder at the base for easy lifting. Wheels work well makes rolling easy. The zippers work great but the expansion isn't consistent across making it a little uneven while packing. All in all a good purchase. Color is a little bright for my liking but accurately shown in the image. Not a carry on
Daughter wanted the blue color of this massive suitcase. It got dirty the first flight, of course. It's not as durable as they made ten years ago. It IS light and holds A LOT. My husband and I shared this. If you travel intensively, I'd get something sturdier, but it's a good buy, smooth from the outset, and LARGE, and light... more weight limit for YOUR stuff.
Read the description carefully. The overall height of this piece of luggage including the wheels is 32 inches. It seems to roll ok even though the wheels seems to be small for this size luggage.
The color is nice, and it maneuvers easily, good size and lots of room for storage. The problem is the integrity of the suitcase. After 3 uses the seam along one of the corners is coming loose and beginning to fray. Last trip I used duct tape along the top corner for the flight back home, because I was afraid of it coming farther undone. When I attempted to return it to Walmart for a replacement or credit, (because it had only been 2 months since my purchase), they no longer stocked this suitcase in their store, so they couldn't find the UPC %23. One of the same, that I'd purchased 2 years earlier is still in decent condition. The suitcase is supposed to have a 5 year warranty. I sent photos to Am. Tourister and they said they would determine whether they could repair it before replacing, and that I should send it, at my expense, or take it to the nearest repair facility. Well, that's not going to happen, as it's 2 states away. So I'm stuck with a suitcase that I'm afraid to use on flights.
I purchased this piece of luggage to replace mine that was the exact same thing due to the fabric coming apart from the side by the black rubber side seams. I only purchased it again so I would still have a matching set. I thought American Tourister was a quality brand. Only used for 1 1/2 years.
