Beautiful dresser! It's sturdy as well as stylish. It's made of laminated MDF and particleboard, the classic walnut woodgrain finish gives the look of real wood and matched great with my flooring! It's easy to put together however, 2 adults are recommended to assemble. All the pieces fit together as they were supposed to, it took me about 2-3 hours to put together with the help of my husband. The final assembled dresser looks great and heavy duty in construction. The drawers are nice and deep that feature durable metal slides. Each drawer comes with a metal support brace to support and strengthen drawer bottom to prevent sagging. I was very impressed with the size and depth of the drawers. It's a gorgeous piece of furniture for an older child or adult room. A wall anchor kit is included to secure the dresser to the wall, its being used by an adult so I didn't worry too much about that. Overall it's a sturdy and nice looking piece of furniture and I'm confident that I'll be using this dresser for a long time!
If your a person who loves & lives to assemble things- this is the item for you! It was about a 3 hr project not overly stressful. All pieces were clearly marked. It's sturdy & looks really good. I need (or if your in need) of more dresser space - get this, it'll be with you for many years.
I really do love this piece of furniture. It's roomy and tall, with 5 equal-size large, deep drawers. The drawer pulls are black and are not junk. The walnut color is dark as shown, and it looks great in my living room where it will help me tremendously with storage! These are the "pros" to this purchase. Cons: First, heavy incredibly heavy to unpack; took an experienced home renovator TWO HOURS to put together. Luckily, this is mentioned in the item description, so that's a "pro." 2nd, if you have children, do bolt it to the wall as directed in the item description. For just adults in the home, it is sturdy from front to back but rocks from side to side (only if you try, not very easily). 3rd, two of the drawers stick when opening/closing. 1 is a slight jolt, the other one definitely resists so I will leave it closed just to the edge, but I won't try to push it in all the way. I give it 4 stars, and I'm thrilled to have it in my home. And of course, love that it's a Queer Eye design!
This product is what you pay for. It is spacious and looks just as pictured. Pretty heavy but it did come with some broken parts. They do have customer support, we did have to force the cabinets to close a few times in order for them to get a bit more easy, so try to do that before you give up on it because we almost did
There are a million pieces and you definitely won't be able to build it without an electric drill but after 10 hours building it, I think it is worth it for the price.
I noticed in the shipping notification that the package weighed 125 pounds. I was at home when the FedEx truck pulled in the driveway and the look of happiness on the courier's face when he opened the back door of the truck and saw me standing there with a dolly was priceless. So I dragged this boxed up monolith into the house and let me tell you this thing was well packed. Took me twenty minutes just to get everything laid out. Let's just say if it had come any more disassembled, it would have been subatomic particles. When I gazed at the row of parts lined up along two walls and down the hall, I was almost driven to despair at the task that lay ahead. But I girded myself and got down to it. Two hours later, this intimidating pile of parts had become a piece of furniture. I'll have to say, none of the pieces of this jigsaw puzzle from the netherworld was broken or chipped. Everything was there and it was very well packed. Just give yourself plenty of time, go slow, and pay attention assembling the drawers. If you want to use a cordless screwdriver/drill for the gazillion screws, you'll just need to be careful to have the torque setting very light so you don't strip the cheap particleboard. Once assembled, two of the drawers were very stiff opening and closing. Although my first thought when I beheld the final product was that it's basically plastic laminate covering particle board, it's really a fairly attractive minimalist piece of furniture. It's no Ethan Allen but you get what you pay for, and in my case, I did pretty well with this. I've wanted a small utility upright chest of drawers for my foyer for a while now. This fits the bill perfectly.
I really like the design. It wasn't hard to put together. Followed the instructions with no issues. It did arrive with a little damage to a couple corners. I was able to touch up and you can't really tell. Company needs to add additional protective packaging inside the box especially around corners. Company also needs to put the letter stickers to identify each priced on the backside of piece. The stickers leave a reside that's really hard to get off.
once assembled the drawers are not long enough to fit all the way into the back of the dresser ( there is about 3" of dead space). The drawers are on runners but they do not work well, this could be as the dresser is just not designed and cut well. the drawers are too tight, the bottom drawer barely opens. The knobs do not have adequate threading and strip easily. The back of this dresser is a thin piece of cardboard.
I searched for solid wood furnitire and this came up. I received it and it was made of partical board. I tried to cancel the dresser I purchased at the same time but you wouldnt cancel. way too expensive for junk.
Poor quality and difficult to assemble.
