It also comes with small rubber feet. So with all these features I have tried it several places in my home and I like it best in my bed room so I can use it to store my shoes and sit on the bench to put them on or take them off. So yes I really like this bench and would most definitely recommend it to family and friends.

The Altra Storage Bench is a great addition to the guest bedroom. It arrived earlier then expected, there was a large hole on the box by the delivery company, but no damage to the bench itself. Assembly was a little intimidating at first with so many small packages screws, fasteners, dowels and miscellaneous parts, but because all items were labeled and instructions were clear to follow with adequate illustrations, it actually was very easy, no missing parts, everything seems to fit well, it took 1 hour to fully assemble the bench. It is made of engineered wood with veneer Sonoma Oak polyurethane finish. It is a nice basic low profile visually appealing storage bench, perfect height for sitting and taking on and off shoes. It was a little wobbly at first but once it all was fully assembled it seems to be sturdy, durable and looks great. I plan to purchase baskets to sit in the three shelving below the bench top to keep extra items like magazines, books and small blankets for my guest, keeping the room tidy. The cushion seems to stay perfectly in place on top of the bench, it seems to be made of quality canvas type material. I found a nice small plaid blanket, I will place it over the cushion, it will give it a custom look, that way it stays nice and clean and also add color to the room. It's a contemporary style and very functional for any room in your home, it will serve it's purpose more storage.

I did it. Yes, I finally did it and I am very proud of myself. I was able to put together my new Altra Furniture Storage Bench with Beige Cushion in Sonoma Oak all by myself. Yes, this is a big achievement for this uncoordinated and not a good do-it-yourself person. However, it was really easy to assemble. I had fun. Plus, I felt like I accomplished a task that I now can erase from my To-Do List. This bench is great because it is perfect for your entryway, bedroom or any other place. It is suitable for nearly any room in your house. I have mine at the foot of my bed and the cats love the soft and comfortable foam cushion. This storage bench has three spacious cubbies for storage of your shoes, personal items or even your books which I have plenty. Also, Betsy has taken over one of the cubbies as her private space. The cushion is a soft beige and comfortable to sit on. Here is something very important you need to know: there is a 1-Year Warranty on the bench. Also there is a weight limit. For the top of the bench, you do not want to have more than 240 pounds while each cubbies has a maximum weight of 30 pounds. Please, to keep it looking like new, do not use any harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners. Please remember to not try to move your new bench by yourself. Always use two people and lift and carry your unit. Therefore, do not drag or push your bench. Now this is very important if you have children, do not let them play or climb on the unit to avoid injury to them and/or your bench. I bought this bench a few weeks ago and it is very nice. It is a great accent to the entryway. I later went to Walmart and bought three storage bins to put in the bench and they look perfect. They look like they came with the bench. Would highly recommend.

This was exactly what we were looking for: right length, right colour, has a cushion, has storage! It was fairly easy to put together. It arrived in perfect condition. Well packaged.

Keeps the shoes and boots out of the way . I have this in my entrance and it is very practical. I found it to be sturdy and gives me a place to sit when putting on my boots. Nice looking and not too complicated to build.

The Altra Furniture Storage Bench with Beige Cushion, Sonoma Oak, Looks beautiful in my home. I have been looking for a while for something to put in my foyer so everyone could put their shoes on (I have carpet and I'm kind of a germaphobe) and was so happy when I found this. I was pleasantly surprise as to how pretty the bench was. The materials look like their great quality and the bench is perfect for my home's foyer. There were some issues getting it together. I consider myself a master at building furniture. I normally assemble stuff from ikea and other stores in minutes, but this was kind of hard. It did not come with any tools and it didn’t even have all of the pieces. One of the screws was bent and we had to fix it. I even had to paste it to assure that it was safe and sturdy. What was supposed to take 15 minutes ended up taking me an hour? I was really disappointed I had to improvise. I can only pray that it doesn't break considering it came incomplete. Also the quality of the cushion is not that good. It’s supposed to be beige but it has two different types of beige. But apart from that it's perfect for me. Assembling the product was hard but after it was very nice.

The Altra storage bench is very easy to put together thanks to the easy to follow directions and labeled components. One person can assemble this piece of furniture. The box it arrives in may be heavy for an older individual. The weight is just under 40 pounds. The instructions suggested using 3 tools; a screw driver, Phillips head screw driver, and a hammer. I did not need to use a hammer during my assembly. The wood is an engineered product similar to a particle board core with a processed grain look on the sides. This piece came with what they call Sonoma Oak. It has a grey look to it rather than other oak products that I am used to which are a warmer yellow hue. The cushion is beige in color and fits very well. You could make or purchase another cushion to customize this piece to your home decor. This piece of furniture is useful in that you can sit on it and store items in the cubbies located below.

The product looks great, but the holes weren't drilled correctly, so I had to wait for more pieces to be sent & even then, I had to leave some pegs out further along in putting it together & just hope for the best. Good customer service though, just didn't want to have to make a second call & wait for replacement parts again.

Decent, serves its purpose (entry way bench with some storage space). Great size for a smaller entry area - definitely cleaned up our messy shoe situation with the cubbies. Cheap build, which is to be expected. I messed up a bit putting it together, and the wood is unforgiving - so be careful when you’re following the instructions!
