Amigo® Bravo 12 Original Hood (250g Medium) (Navy/Navy, S)

I bought this neck cover a month ago and the large fits my 16h warmblood mare nicely. It stays put better than some other brands I have tried and I love the way it attaches to the Amigo blanket. I have a medium size light weight of the same brand and it is a bit too small - my mare has an average to short sized neck. The large fits her great.

It is raining, windy and pretty miserable outside right now. My Arabian gelding is grazing peacefully out in the elements, enjoying the last of the season's grass. He is dry and warm inside his Amigo Bravo blanket With a liner and hood. The hood is well designed so it covers his withers when he extends his neck to graze- without falling to his ears and covering his head.

For decades I wondered why no one came up with a neck rug. I tried to make something homemade work but never successfully. Hooray for the simple design and easy on/off. Plus the none fill, medium and heavy weight fills are a gift from the horse gods.

I love the Amigo hoods. Great price, fantastic durability, and easy to attach. However you should probably order down a size if you want the hood to fit the horses' neck. Last year I ordered a size Medium for my 16h TB mare, and it was too big, it fit, but it had a droop in it. This year I had to re-order since both hoods were stolen, and the small fits perfectly.

The quality of this product is fantastic. However, I ordered the size indicated for my mare, large, because she is in a 78" blanket. I got the neck cover and she swims in it! She doesn't have a small neck whatsoever but you could fit two of her in there! I sent back the large and am waiting for the medium in the mail. Hopefully that fits better. If not, I'll send that back too.

Just put this hood on my recently purchased blanket. Would have been nice to get the matching one but is not available anywhere. Curious why it only has two velcro straps to attach when blanket has four, three on each side. Hood is of great quality.

I needed a neck cover to go with my discontinued Rambo XL blanket. Because it is black, nothing Rambo goes with it. Thank goodness this is compatible!!

Is a very nice and quality made product. Unfortunately it was not compatible with current blanket on how it attached. I'm just hoping in the future that u could show more pics and description of how hoods attach to the blankets.

If you have have an Amigo blanket, and need a hood, these work well. However, I ordered this hood to try to match the Rambo California (which has been discontinued, and no more hoods are left) since the picture looked to be the same color. When the chocolate hood arrived, it was nothing like the picture. The hood I received was dark brown with dark brown trim. The "cream" was a small stripe in the middle of the dark brown trim. Order this only if you don't care about matching or are using it with an Amigo.

I ordered the recommended size for my horse. And the length for him is fine but it was so wide around his neck im afraid to use it, he can very easily get a leg or even two in it when he puts his head down! He is a big warmblood too Maybe consider buying a size down
