Amla powder is good but Black Henna did not worked. It did not change my gray hair.It is red color only not black color.First I applied the henna for 1 hour 30 mins and them I washed out the henna and applied the Indigo for 1and half hour.Do you have any suggestions how to make completely black the grey hair
Thanks Diana...I saw your review and decided to "up the Annie" on the Amla and Whallah, the color was less red, and more vibrantly brown..., I always get compliments, and have sent many people to Morocco Method, but lately, I've noticed even more compliments. Also, my hair feels so healthy and shiny! I had to get used to the darkness; I body surfed for years and my hair was very sandy blonde from all of the salt water and sun, but not so healthy... When I started going to the beach less, wearing a hat when hiking, and just have gotten older so now I have to cover gray, the box dyes still gave me some ability to do high lows... but my hair was so damaged, and frankly, I don't want the chemicals. So, when I went to Morroco Method henna, my hair sent dark...probably more towards my norm. When it was too brassy, when I first started out, I did not know if I'd stick with it, but since I've added the Amla and have more of a brown tone, I love it and so do others. Not going back!
I have not used the Alma Powder yet. I was bit confused about mixing it with the Light Blonde Henna. One set of instructions said to add it to the Henna, and the other didn't say to add it. So, I've yet to try it. Thanks. I'm sure it's a great product!
This amla makes my hair really soft, I leave it on overnight with the henna, it does makes a difference in the texture of my hair. Thanks for putting out good, affordable and natural products on the market, I appreciate your efforts to use natural ingredients in your formulas. Thanks!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I have been purchasing the Light Brown Henna for about a year and experimenting with Amla to get just the right shade as it has been too red for my taste. Eureka! This time I hit the jackpot: 1/2 package Henna to 2.5 tablespoons Amla and then 1/2 package of the Indigo. Lovely warm brown with just enough to 'highlight' my gray with a nice reddish tone. Perfect for summer!
I used the alma powder in my henna mixture. It blended well and my hair felt soft afterwards. I plan to try it as a stand alone conditioning treatment
I use the alma powder with brown henna and I love it!! I use it to cover grays that are starting to appear, and the henna turns them light brown/blonde so they blend in nicely with the rest of my hair. Highly recommend this product!
It brings out the red a bit more. If you want your hair a shade darker I would recommend black tea instead. It works well with Henna Blond in my experience.
I use the Amla powder mixed in with the light brown henna. I have curly hair and my curls retain their spunk and the henna color lasts about two months for me.
I love Morrocco Method amla, and I found the customer service extremely helpful when the post office lost my order. Many thanks to Rachel for making it right!
