This is a great buffing unit. It seems many other purchasers misunderstand the purpose of this item. It is for buffing, not for filing. Buffing is for making natural nails shine. Not for taking down the length of nails. The pads are a very fine grit, because they are for buffing. You won't be able to file nails with this unit (it is not designed for that purpose, it says nothing about filing on it's packaging, so I don't know why there is a misconception). Refills pads are available, and you will need them, as buffing pads do tend to wear after a few uses. To use it, you start with the heavier grit, and work your way to the finest grit (which seems super smooth). Results in really shiny nails without polish! The first time you use it, it's really awesome! You can use it with polish, too, to remove ridges, and make your nails really smooth and look salon like. Then the next time you use it, just be careful to only use it on new growth, so you don't make your nails too thin.
Used it on both finger nails and toe nails. it does a good job.
Works great for smoothing your nails after cutting preventing any rough edges from snagging. Very easy to use and the price is good.
Doesn't work at all well.
Received item, did not work, battery expired in 2021 and leaked.
i had high expectations for this since i have arthritis in my hands and it is hard for me to file my nails........this has absoutely no power.............i can file my nails faster than this thing......i was very disappointed in this and sent it back....
This product works great as long as battery lasts which is not long enough to even buff or file nails on one hand. I did not use the file as I did not need to file my nails, so instead went straight to the buffing. By the end of the first hand the brand new batteries needed replacing! This would work great if it had a much stronger, longer lasting, rechargeable battery with a recharging dock. I returned mine to the store.
Probably would have to replace pads every other week. In spite of my intense dislike of having to replace parts of a product I decided to try this. Does a very poor job & takes way too long. With all do respect it should be taken off the shelf & should not be purchased as a gift. Product was returned.
This product has absolutely no power. The only thing it is good for is possibly finished off an already filed nail. If you apply any pressure at all, it just stops. I love the original Amope for my feet, but this product is terrible. Would not recommend unless you like throwing your money away. I would give this a zero rating, but it makes you give it at least 1 star.
I should have believed the reviews before I bought this product. With any amount of pressure needed for filing the nail, the unit slows down so much as to make it worthless. Didn't even try the other two tips. Will return asap. My sister has the foot care unit and likes that one. Says it does a good job on her callouses.
