I just finished installing the AMP Research PowerStep XL on my 2025 Bronco Badlands with the Sasquatch trim, and it is easily the best upgrade I've made so far. If you're running the Sasquatch package, you know that factory height is no joke. The "XL" version is a must—that extra 3-inch drop makes getting in and out actually feel natural rather than a climbing expedition. When they're retracted, the integrated rock rail look fits the Badlands aesthetic perfectly and doesn't sacrifice any ground clearance. Overall, the mechanical side of the install was a breeze. Everything lined up perfectly and the build quality is top-tier. My only "heads-up" for DIYers is the wiring. Tracking down the two specific wires connecting to the cab module took a bit of patience and some tight maneuvering. Once those were tapped, though, it was smooth sailing and they fired right up. If you want a clean, rugged look with maximum functionality for a lifted Bronco, don't hesitate. RealTruck delivered quickly and the product is worth every penny.
After having the Powerstep XL installed on my new Jeep Wrangler Rubicon I was able to easily enter and exit as if it came with the vehicle. What a difference it made since I have the 35 inch tire package on the jeep. The XL gave me the perfect height for a step. The lights on them are awesome too.
I love my Powerstep on my 2025 Toyota Tundra Platnium. Only snag was getting the wires tapped properly open and close the steps, but technical support was very helpful and we figured out the issue. All works well now!
This is a great product and the customer service is even better. It arrived fast and had been damaged in shipping so I contacted customer service and in a few days I had all the replacement parts that I needed. I wish all companies were as easy to deal with.
The PowerStep XL is everything it is advertised to be… Arrived quickly, packaged very well, all parts were included, and installed just like the video showed. I did have to spend a little time to figure out that the driver and passenger rails were labeled backwards… They only go on one way, so after lots of verification, I proceeded. When I first powered up the steps, the entire truck ODB was locked up. I disconnected the battery and then reconnected. Other than that, the install was uneventful and pretty straightforward. Everything works great now!!! As the title says - this is a great upgrade for my Raptor.
Purchasing the step was easy and it arrived when promised. However, the electric motor did not fit the housing provided. Took multiple calls with promises for call back before I finally reached someone in customer support. Clearly understaffed for the call volume. Once I reached customer support the guy I spoke with was excellent. However the running boards are still sitting in my garage as I await the promised correct housing for the motors. I'd advise not purchasing AMP products as basic quality control processing in their shipping department are absent.
The product arrived with damage to the packaging. One entire end was broken open. The hardware bag was open in the box it was packaged and several of the pieces of the hardware were missing There was also a small blemish on the item. I don't know if that was from the damaged package or from the factory. I have photos of the above but I am sure you would place the blame on the shipper. Overall I am satisfied with the product but disappointed in the condition it was received. Fortunately I was able to replace the missing hardware out of my own stock at my garage but it is something I shouldn't have to do.
Got the new AMP XL power running boards on today, about 3 hrs, still have to do the wiring tomorrow. I'm a little disappointed in the height from the new boards to the seat, floorboard. I added these because the factory steps were too high for my wife. These are definitely lower, now I'm concerned because they seem to low making it hard for her to step from running boards to seat. This is my second set I've purchased, the first ones worked out great for height.
The package was missing the 4 rubber grommets. No instruction on the Rock Slider. The rock slider won't fit my 2024 F250. I have tried to make contact with AMP. No response yet that was two days ago. I paid over $2K for the steps. Not happy.
I purchased a set of AMP Powerstep XLs for my 2025 Ram 1500 in March of 2025 From Real Truck. After shipping issues with the original order I had a replacement set sent to me however the hardware included was for a Powerstep set up and not an XL set up. After filing a warranty claim, I was told the XLs were out of stock and it would be 2-4 weeks to restock. 7 weeks went by without restock and I decided to just request a refund which was processed. I found another retailer who had the XLs in stock but when I received those steps I had the same issue with the hardware and am now waiting on the other retailer to work to resolve the issue with AMP.
