This is my favorite pea soup. It's tasty and hearty. I usually add sliced carrots to the pan while heating the soup and then a dollop of sour cream after I ladle it into my bowl. I tried the low sodium pea soup, but it didn't have enough flavor. This is a very good vegetarian pea soup for those of us who don't want meat or artificial flavor added. I've shopped around and Walmart currently has the lowest price for this brand soup, although my local store has a very limited selection.
This is thick and tasty. All natural, no corn, gluten, soy l, eggs or rice. Very satisfying and guilt free. I like to have this when I am on the go not having to pull out a lot of dishes to cook. The pull up top is great for camping if we forget our can opener.
Amy's Kitchen Low Fat Organic Split Pea Soup is an inexpensive favorite. Organic, low fat, and taste great! I have soup with veggies, grains, etc. for a healthy meal. Try Amy's Kitchen soups for a healthy, tasty and low cost food.
BEST Soup ever, But! I have celiac disease, so Amy's Products may not "use" gluten ingredients, but the foods are processed on the same equipment used to process regular foods with Wheat, Whey, Rye, Barley, etc. It is CROSS-CONTAMINATED and I'm taking a chance with my Stage 4 Celiac by eating it. So, If I didn't have Celiac Disease, I'd be eating it every other day, every week!
For health reasons, I need to keep my overall fat content low. This (and the low-sodium version) are the only organic, low fat soups I've found. I do add my own spices, as it is bland straight from the can. I add garlic powder, onion powder, black pepper, and salt. It's not an issue for me to add spices, as that's something that I do with almost all prepared foods. Some other ways to add variety include adding mushrooms and/or chicken.
good soup; have always liked Amy's; some of her soups (southwestern and lentil) are currently suffering shrinkflation (getting a bit thin) but this one was not too thin. just a bit disappointed in recent discovery that not all ingredients are organic
I LOVE THIS SOUP, but this delivery was not satisfactory in that cans were thrown into a box with no packing materials so box was bulging when delivered and cans inside had been thrown around and all were dented. I have been using this soup often during the Covid pandemic...so I am not returning, but deep dented cans are not safe to keep in my opinion. Sorry to report this, but think it needs correcting as 12 cans in a big box take a lot of abuse when they are jumping around on each other. Thank you for listening....
I should have known when it said organic and low fat that I wouldn't like it. It just didn't taste like the split pea soup I'm used to. Reminded me of baby food yuck
Love this soup but not Walmart. Instead of placing the cans in the original short box they come in (like they did the first time), they packed them loose, so they moved all over and dent each other. 6 of the 12 were dented. Isn't the whole point of selling a case of cans that you can pack and mail them in the original box?
Rating for this product should be a zero. All cans were badly dented and dirty, one can didn't even have any labels (could of been any thing inside) How these cans were even shipped is a mystery to me because you would never find can in any kind of store like what was delivered to me. I will never order this product from Walmart.
