The best Amish Collection I have ever read by four amazing authors, each with a unique writing style and great characterization. Each story has a heirloom involved. A Legacy of Love by Amy Clipston is a story of antique rocking chairs that bring ex sweethearts together and they are forced to rethink being only friends. I love that Leon is a volunteer firefighter as well as working alongside family making and restoring furniture. A wonderful story of faith, family, and lost love. The Cedar Chest by Beth Wiseman is beautifully written and will bring tears to your eyes. A decades old cedar chest brings mother and daughter together to read an age old love story of Emma's great grandparents. It is so touching that you don't want it to end. Emma is also dealing with problems in her marriage, so be prepared for a whirlwind of page turning to find the outcome. AMAZING! The Treasured Book by Kathleen Turner finds you falling more in love with the antics of Cevilla. This is a precious story that is delivered well and has you laughing as well as holding your breath in anticipation for the outcome. The Midwife's Dream by Kelly Irvin is a story of selfless acts of kindness that leaves Iris with a broken heart. Can Mahon a neighbor and her best friends brother help bring healing? Wonderful story of tough decisions and a baby quilt handed down for generations. Each story has faith, finding the plan God has for your life, romance, and family. I enjoyed this collection tremendously and recommend it even if you aren't a big fan of Amish stories, as you won't be disappointed with the high caliber of this one. Four page-turning stories, that kept me riveted and loving these reads, and I wanted more when the last page was turned. I also liked that some of the characters in these stories have been with me before and I learned to care for them. This read will keep your attention whether you only have a few minutes to give or maybe time to move on to the next. They are all equally great, and you will not be disappointed. Enjoy!
