Is a perfect 9X5 pan, perfect for loaf cakes and quick breads, either in the refrigerator or on the counter. They stay fresh under the well fitted lid. Love it! Put it on a baking sheet, then put it in the oven, safer that way. Use cooking spray and nothing sticks!
Use it for homemade bread, banana bread, and meatloaf. I store peeled vegetables and leftovers, using the cap, which seals tight and puts them in my refrigerator. I am very happy with this product. this loaf dish is just as you see it online. periodically I see this all covered loaf dish in the store. you cannot bake anything with the cap on because the cap is plastic it is not glass.
I love this loaf pan that has the raised locking lid. I’m able to bake my zucchini bread and when it cools, put the lid right on so I can take it to the office. Dishwasher safe, microwave safe, oven safe for baking. This loaf pan has it all! I’ve used it for my meatloaf as well and it stays warm after cooking by putting the lid on.
I ordered this primary for a smaller meatloaf. Perfect for a one pound meatloaf for 2. came out like a dream. Remember to decrease the temp on your recipes by 25 degrees and cook for longer time as glass heats up slower but stays warm after cooking longer thsn metal pans.
This loaf pan is just the right size for making bread. We make a lot of breads with a glaze or icing on top and the domed lid is perfect for those breads. The lid also is a tru fit and easy to take off and put on. We will also use this loaf pan to make meatloaf which is perfect to just keep the leftover in the pan and put the lid on. I like Anchor Hocking brand for its reliability and usefulness.
Taking food out of a loaf pan to store is a hassle. If it's banana bread, it gets stale. If it's meatloaf, the pieces fall apart. A loaf pan with a lid is genius! Bake your item, let it cool, then snap on the included cover to keep the food fresh and easier to serve in slices. Plus, cleaning up glass is a snap - you can even put it in the dishwasher. A big improvement over my old metal loaf pans!
This is absolutely a great product, and it makes a great gift as well. It cooks well and evenly, it's glass and it comes with a lid top which is extra you can't beat the price, I will check out of products if I need them from that same company. It's excellent.
This glass works so much better than my prior non-stick metal loaf pan. Even browning / cooking and effortless clean up. Bonus that it comes with air tight silicone sealed lid for reusable storage. Love that the lid has height to account for the treats contained within!
I am always looking for nice new cookware for the kitchen. Glass cookware tends to be one of my favorite types for baking (whether it be desserts or an actual meal.) I was in need of new cookware since my old set is very stained and yellowed. At first glance, I thought this was a pan to only bake bread. I was incorrect on that notion. You can bake bread in it but I cooked a meatloaf with it. (Not including pictures of my meatloaf because it’s hideous.) This pan did an excellent job with having a steady cook temp and the food didn’t stick. I did use name brand aerosol cooking spray though. It also washed up nicely in the dishwasher. It is oven, microwave, and dishwasher safe. All of these are important features for me. My only complaint is with the lid. It appears to be a functioning lid and when applied on warm to room temp items, it seals fine. I sealed the meatloaf with the lid and placed it in the fridge. The lid did not want to stay on once the glass was cold. Overall, I really like this cookware. The lid is the only issue and maybe in time, the company will remedy this. I still recommend this cookware. It both looks nice and cooks great!
The woman who dropped it off quickly took a pic at she handed me my glass baking dish and tried to take off without giving me my rock salt and marked the order as delivered and would have stolen it had I not said something. She acted like she was dying caring up the walk so how could she possibly have forgotten picking it up? She's a thief is what I believe!
