My son is a tall 7 year old wearing a size medium, 8. This is the best size for him with room to grow. These are traditional basketball shorts and very long. I prefer they fit right above the knee. I like that you get 2 pieces and they are complimentary colors. The drawstring is great as well, so they are easy to adjust.
