Instead of laces they zip up and i can tell the material of the shoe is very nice and sturdy! So stylish and i know he will love them for basketball shoes or even everyday wear. They are very well made, the design is amazing, and super easy to put on. So glad that has zipper and Velcro so my kid can put them on by himself.

In order for us to put the zipper up, he had to stand up and I struggled a bit to get it up. We did manage, and he was good to go after that.

They have a good amount of padding in the bottom so they should be pretty comfortable, and I like they come up high to give more support for the ankle
