Andy and Opie look better than ever on Blu Ray
This box set is great . It never ceases to amaze me how Blu Ray HD can pump new life into even an old Black & White TV show. With the HD presentation the material takes on a look where even the sparkle in the actor's eyes can be seen. There are also many great extras in this set,such as the episode of the Danny Thomas show where Andy's character is first seen. You also have the option of playing back the episode with original sponsor materials, where the cast members actually mentioned the sponsor products. This is a charming extra as it is woven into the fabric of the story, in fact I prefer seeing the episodes that way.

On DVD the quality is good, but the Blu-ray is Excellent. I just love The Andy Griffith Show. My Wife and I have different taste in shows and movies, but we agree Andy is the best.
