Animals Make Us Human: Creating the Best Life for Animals, (Paperback)

I bought this book to use in speech therapy sessions with my son. The book goes through different animals sounds and car sounds (which my son can say when prompted). The story is also super cute and advanced enough he'll be interested in it for a few years.

I first got this book from the library, and it instantly became my two-year-old's favorite. The story line and rhyming are clever and catchy, yet simple enough for a small child to understand. My child especially enjoys my making the animal sounds in the book and making the dump truck have a special voice. We had to own this book and its sequel, Little Blue Truck Leads the Way, which is also wonderful. Wal-Mart had the best price on it, and it arrived at the store within a week. My child has these books memorized from hearing them so much. A must have for any child's library!

This book flows very well and is actually very enjoyable to read. It is sort of like singing a song.

I just bought this book for my almost 2 year old son and we both LOVE it. Out of the dozens of books we have its definately one of our favorites. Its great for his age, really cute and even has a moral to it.

My two year old son is obsessed with trucks, and this book has been a big hit. The little blue truck is shown on every page, and a big mean dump truck also makes an appearance. The illustrations are great, with lots of farm animals and two very expressive trucks. The story rhymes wonderfully, builds to an exciting climax, and has a great lesson about taking the time to help others at the end. I have purchased this book for my son and also as a gift for others.

My 15 month old loves it. I think it has to do with the fact that it makes animal sounds with the animals, and has very colorful pages with a nice rhyme. It also has good meaning, to be friendly to others and to help others when in need. I try to "hide it" from him in the book basket, but he always manages to find it and gets really excited. We read it at least 3 times a night. I am pleasantly surprised. I am planning to buy the 2nd book for him for Christmas.

My almost 2 year old loves this book! We borrowed it from the library and want to buy it! Daddy and I like reading it to him a lot. It's got beautiful pictures, a nice moral to the story, and is very fun to read!

This is darling book that is fun to read. Everything rhymes, so it's easy to get through. It has great pictures and has nice, sturdy pages, so it should last for a long time. Perfect for my one and two year olds!

My 3.5 year old loves trucks and tractors. This book has great illustrations in it!
