I have a tower on one corner of my home, and fly three flags (Stars and Bars, Stars and Strips, and State of Virginia (Sic Semper Tyrannous). The flag on this pole seems to do better at not getting wrapped around the pole..

I like the spinning pole and the mount, individually. However, the diameter of the opening in the mount is about 1/16 inch too large for the pole, so the pole wobbles around even with the set screw tightened. The only real fix for the problem is a shim between the pole and the mount. I made one from a piece of 3/4 inch PVC pipe, but it wasn't easy. It required enlarging the inside diameter of the PVC pipe and reducing the outside diameter. I did this by spinning the PVC pipe and holding sandpaper against it, so it took an hour or so. It is a tight fit on the pole and a loose fit in the mount, so the shim stays on the pole when I take the flag down, and it works fine. Too bad Annin didn't check this out before they put the combination together.

No Instructions in the packaging or found on the website. I Figured it out after looking at other manufacturer's product and noticing they all had flags with Grommets.. It Does NOT work with a flag that slides over the Pole. To work with this pole, the flag must have holes with grommets. The Grommet holes should not be larger thane 1/2", If larger, the plastic ring with plastic screw, which attaches the flag to the pole, can slip through the grommet hole. I used a plastic washer to reduce the hole size. It worked, but I'm concerned that there may not be a sufficient length of the screw, inside the ring, to maintain its grip in any wind.

Was not what I was expecting for the price. Pole is thin and was missing one of the clips for the flag.
