the quality of the picture is good and the zoom is good during the day. At night the zoom goes about half way in and then goes dark in ir mode. my problem is that you can walk right past it and it doesn't pick up anything. It hardly ever records anything. i paid for the cloud but since it doesn't record anything it wont show anything. ehen i try to pull up the few things that were recorded i just get an error or a busy signal despite having good internet available. i could go on. i wanted to replace the cheap 29 dollar one i had but my cheap one works way better. good luck, maybe its just the one i got or just me
