i have many pieces of Anolon cookware ... i'm in my 70s and they are the best pieces i've ever used!!! this is the first one i've purchased in blue and it really lights up my kitchen.
T straining pots are so easy to clean. Nothing sticks, foods cook evenly, and the staining lid is very handy. I now have this in 2qt and 3.5 qt. I bought the first one thinking it would be my pasta pot, but it cooked so nicely I stopped using my stainless steel pots and just used the 3.5 qt pot, even when it was bigger than needed, now I have a handy 2 qt. I bought 2 pieces of cookware for my son and he likes how they cook and clean also.
This was a replacement for a previous generation of this pan - the coating seems to be a higher quality now, the measurements on the inside are useful. The lid doesn't sit as well as the previous generation's lid (the strainer part is shorter), but otherwise I'm very happy.
I absolutely love this saucepan. It's well made, heats quickly and evenly, and the nonstick surface is resilient and incredibly easy to clean. I use it regularly, and it continues to perform beautifully. The straining lid is one of my favorite features. It's so convenient not having to pull out a colander for small cooking tasks. I also appreciate the measurement markings inside the pan. The bronze color is gorgeous and looks much more elegant than typical cookware. It's attractive enough to leave on the stovetop. This saucepan is a perfect combination of function and style, and I'm very happy with my purchase.
i think the overall design of pot is excellent.
I love this saucepan. I especially like the even heat distribution and nonstick material. Cooking oatmeal with milk was my litmus test for how well this saucepan would perform and it did not fail. Definitely would recommend
I can tell you these are the best pots & pans I have ever purchased, Example: my rice comes out of the pot fluffy & rice doesn't stick to the pot. My fudge for the 1st time in years has come out perfectly, not runny or hard! Just oh so good!
Well made, heavy aluminum pot with an excellent finish and non-stick ceramic interior. I've cooked several batches of oatmeal in this pot and it is a pleasure having it come out cleanly without sticking to the sides.
This pot design is a fantastic idea. I love its sturdiness and the ability to pour. I used it last evening to keep my broth warm while making risotto. Cleans up easily.
When I ordered the new pan, I was replacing one of the same size. On the old one, the non-stick coating was coming off into the food in flakes. I am disappointed in the new pan. It's great for cooking vegetables which need to be drained before seasoning and serving. But it doesn't work well for cooking rice, which was the main reason I ordered it. Even when the lid is turned around to close off the draining holes, there is still a gap on the side (opposite from the draining lip) which doesn't allow the rice to be sealed off with a tight-fitting lid. I also don't like the handle style--looks totally industrial and rather primitive.
