Absolutely a must in the kitchen for me know. You can shallow fry, deep fry and stir fry with it without oil splash on the cook plates since the pan has decent depth; apart from that the flat wide bottom has made cooking evenly heated, particularly when stir fries. I replaced this with the traditional wok which looks a bit out of date for my kitchen. Thanks Anolon for such an up to date product.
This is the second of these X hybrid pans I've bought. The surface is brilliant from browning a meats like finishing a sous vide steak. Take care that its not a traditional non-stick surface so not suited for very delicate foods like frying eggs. Can highly recommend their traditional non-stick pans for those tasks
[Employee of anolon-au] I. Love. It. Good. Quality. And. Good. For. Cooking. Because. I. Love. Cooling. You. Are. The. Best I. Strongly. Recommend. To. Anyone. Love. Cooking
Bought the Anolon X 2 pan set. Put through the paces and loving both. Hard sear meats and vegetables without high heat, AND non-stick easy to clean, fantastic. Pan broiled sirloin, Seared skirt steak for fajitas, seared chicken for salads, seared breakfast potatoes and onions. Outstanding pans. Expensive, maybe, but it doesn't cost, it pays. THANKS! Now what we need is an Anolon X flat, square, 11" griddle (note Not a ridged griddle pan but a flat single burner griddle).
I purchased these sauté pans at the urging of my husband and I am so glad I did. They are everything they are advertised to be. The one thing I never bargained on, however, was that they don’t splatter much! What a plus. They sear so well, fry an egg splendidly and veggies are a dream. I just ordered the 12.5” and hope it will be just as good. You will not be disappointed.
Saw this online, so ok .....give this one a try. Eggs! I need a skillet to fry eggs 🥚 without sticking . Bought another brand , was really disappointed . ( Hex****). I am impressed 👍 with Anolonx. Did my egg test first thing. The oil stays in one spot and doesn't run. Eggs came out perfect! ♥️
I received my 2 skillets and I have used the larger one for steak, salmon and tried to use it for eggs but it seems for geared to meat and searing than regular skillet use. It cooked meat well but would have enjoyed it more if the product was more available for variety of purposes not just meat and veggies. I can’t say I’d recommend to friend it depends on what there use is Thank you
I am very impressed with the look and design of the pans. For a nonstick the food does tend to stick to the bottom to the mesh surface. I have several nonstick pans and they do work but the nonstick surface tends to separate after time. I thought this was the answer but I am disappointed with the food sticking.
Would not purchase again. Pan has nice heft to it and heavy bottom for even heat. BUT, even with oil in the pan the cross pattern in the bottom caused sticking. Instructions say not to use high heat but on subsequent uses it was less sticky when high heat was used. Don't try to cook eggs or breaded fish in these pans--it'll make a mess. Seriously, pass on these pans and get something else.
After purchasing & using these fry pans, and knowing what i know now, i wouldn't have purchased these pans. It's my personal opinion they are very heavy, handles get hot and the food gets stuck in the triangles which are not smooth to the touch. The marketing of the triangle inner bottom is a cooking gimmick. I had two previous sets of Anolon cookware which were very very good, but these are junk and priced way to high, another gimmick....Also, they will not accept returns or exchanges. Another poor issue.
