We’ve had our pans for about three weeks and have used each one of them. We’ve used them both on our gas stove and on an induction burner! They are so much lighter and easier to clean than cast-iron. They sear perfectly! Clean up has been a breeze! Though they say that they are dishwasher safe, we are not putting them in the dishwasher!
What a great frypan. So easy to clean. Absolutely nothing sticks. A silicone spatula removes any residue and only needs a quick hand wash. So easy to use.
I replaced a set of Anolon Titanium (which I wished they still made) that I’ve had for 15 years. The new Anolon X is not as heavy duty but it is still good cookware. I been using it for a couple of weeks now and here are the takeaways: It heats quickly and evenly High heat is not necessary The nonstick surface works a little better with a little oil or butter Love the glass lids Thumbs up!
This frypan and matching lid are great quality with the lid fitting perfectly snug. The base of the pan is between 10" and 12", but the top width of the pan is 12". The instructions caution that the lid and pan have different maximum temperatures if put in the oven. My first item cooked was a quesadilla which was perfectly browned without any oil. I'm very happy with the heavy quality.
Well designed and the craftsman is great. Looking forward to making lots of great dishes with this pan!
The pots and pans brand are my favorite. I still have original pots and pans that were bought 30 years ago. Still using, but needed to replace some pieces. I like them, but they are a lot lighter weight. I need some more time cooking with them, but I’m sure I will be very happy with them.
No way this is 4qts when it is half of the size of my 3.5 qt from another brand. We tested the capacity. The ads claim metal utensil safe yet the directions state not to use metal utensils. Being able to use metal utensils was the entire reason we purchased this pot. The non-stick is nice but it isn't worth any more than any other non-stick pan out there.
Disappointed with the Analon X Hybrid Skillet. The steel mesh seems to greatly reduce the non-stick properties of the pan. Cannot fry an egg without it sticking to the pan and breaking apart. Perhaps I'm doing something wrong? I absolutely love all my other Analon cookware, but the X Hybrid is a big thumbs down for me.
I filled the directions for using the pan to a T. Washed with very little mild soap, dryer thoroughly. Warmed over a low heat, added oil and waited till it was ready before adding my hash browns. It stuck immediately . Started over , skipped the hash browns, tried an egg. Stuck immediately . I bought Avalon because the ones with coatings work
After many great Anolon pans, this was a huge disappointment. I bought a small frying pan for frying eggs and the hybrid stainless steel / non stick sticks every time, unless you use huge amounts of oil. Avoid.
