I actually haven't used it yet,but it is very well constructed and made of metal, not plastic. When my electric mixer died in the middle of a recipe and I had to drop everything and go buy a new one I decided to but a manual mixer. All that I looked at were cheap,plastic ones that would probably break right away,I saw this one,ordered it and I am glad I did.

I sent it to my son for Christmas and he is really enjoying it. He remembers one we had years ago and decided to get him one of his own.

not the quality expected
For the money I expected better quality. The beater does beat eggs well but the mechanism locks up occasionally in use. I gave it a three because it does work but apparently has a break in period to work properly and consistently.
