AOC 16" class Ultra Slim 1366x768 Res 200 cd/m2 Brightness USB 3.0-Powered Portable LED Monitor w/ Case E1659FWU

I really love this portable monitor. So easy and convenient I've recommended this to several coworkers.

This monitor was perfect for what I needed which was something big enough to work efficiently while working remotely yet compact enough to travel easily. The image is sharp and it comes with a carry sleeve for protection.

The purchase of this USB monitor has made it a whole lot easier to work by having two screens to view on one and be able to work on the other and not have to keep minimizing one screen and opening another. Very clear and easy to install.

I'm really happy with this monitor. Easy to setup, very portable (fits in my carryon), doesn't need a docking station as it connects directly to my computer via USB - both the power and connection are through the USB, so fewer cables to label and carry around.

I gave this monitor five stars because it works well with my computer, however, I wanted to use it with my Surface Pro 2 running Windows 10 Pro. After contacting AOC on how to get it up and running and receiving instructions, everything went well. I have to always use the docking station to get enough power for the monitor but I needed to do that anyway in order to use the USB 3. There is one annoying problem, the screen winks off every minute or so for just a second and seems to coincide with the Surface being active with other programs in the background. This may not happen with the newer Surface 3 or 4 but thought I'd mention it.

The monitor size, weight, portability are perfect for a second monitor when I am out of town. It is not as sharp of a display as my PC monitor, BUT very useful.

The only sugestion I have is to buy a sepereate 4 port usb 3.0 hub because when i plugged the monitor directly into my laptop it would blink off and on constantly due to lack of power. So i bought an insignia 4 port 3.0 hub from best buy and plugged in both the 2.0 and 3.0 usb that comes with the monitor and no more issue. Overall very pleased with the monitor, if i had more money i would have gone for the higher resolution screen so it would match my laptop screen in quality.

Do not buy this product if you own a Macbook. Wasted 4 hours attempting to connect the device. It did not work. This is built for Windows and they tacked on a completely useless driver solution for Macbook. The display refused to connect to my Macbook after many attempts.

This monitor is junk! It broke randomly after 3 months. Thank goodness I bought the extended warranty with WalMart because AOC refused to honor the warranty. Buyer beware!
