I use it near the corner of the room and it prevents any reverberation from the corner from reaching the mic. It definitely helps capture clean recordings, which is what you need to incorporate recordings into the mix, rather than sitting on top of the mix because the recording isn't clean enough. In other words, any echo, reverb, noise, etc. captured in the recording will make it stand out from the rest of the mix.

Nice compact design that effectively cancels noise and improves sound quality. The thickness is just enough to suppress echoes and will definitely improve the acoustics. Value for money. When I'm done with voice work, I just fold it up and slide it onto the shelf until I need it again.
