I bought two of those for my kids, the assembly takes literally 10 minutes: between taking the scooter out of the box, slotting on the handlebar and tightening the scs compression. The scooters are of a solid build, ride well. And all kids want to try after they saw the video.
This is so much nicer for my 11 year old. The air tires let it roll in gravel and on brick pavers with ease. I like that he has a reliable brake system and doesn't wear holes in his shoes. He can go so much faster and be safer. Installation was not hard, It only took me about 40 minutes with my expertise and handiness with tools.
First of all, this was pretty much exactly what I was looking for (and seem hard to find)... scooters with large tires, which roll better on rough roads and off-road. I purchased 2 of these (as seen in the photo). I liked this model versus others with different size wheels because I felt it would be easier for long term maintenance to have the wheels the same size, and I figured it would ride better.
My son Loves it! Not the easiest to assemble, but if you know what you are doing, and how to follow directions, it's not difficult. My son had a crash on it on the very first day he rode it. I had tested it prior to giving it to him! However, he crashed into the grass pretty hard, (wearing a helmet) and he is great and the scooter is absolutely fine too!
I purchase the Aosom kids and teens ride on scooter for my seven-year-old granddaughter's birthday. I did not want to get her a scooter with small wheels and looked like a small child's scooter. This scooter fit the ticket with bicycle style wheels and front and rear brakes. It looks good and is very well built. She was totally excited when she saw it.
My older son rode scooters semi pro so i have an idea on quality. Its not as light as a more professional scooter but for an 11 year old its perfect. Very durable and solid, no worries its going to collapse or break anytime soon. ALSO the wheels and bearings are higher quality which makes a huge difference! Totally a 5 Star for the price.
Terrific, sturdy scooter, just like I remember from when I was a kid. My son is five, and this is a scooter that will last him into his teens. I was lucky my husband is an avid bike rider, as I had some of the specialty tools on hand that you need to assemble this correctly.
I am writing this review on behalf of my 8 year old son. He told me to give the scooter five stars. He got this scooter for his birthday and LOVES it. This scooter is a big improvement to his old scooter (another brand). The foot board is substantially wider, and it is more durable and sturdy over all. It is very well made. It makes for great outside play and tricks and jumps. Thumbs up from the 8 year old!!!
Love the scooter I'm 220 pounds and it holds me just fine. I bought it for my five-year-old but I find myself riding it more than him. It wasn't hard to put together at all not sure what everyone is talking about in the reviews if you have ever put a bike together before then this is no different I did use my own Sockets, wrenchs and channel lock pliers to put this together instead of the tool provided because that thing is definitely a joke and would make putting this scooter together a heck of a lot harder. I love that the handlebars go up and down so that it can grow with my son. I will say if you were an adult trying to buy this for yourself the deck that you stand on is not very long. So if you have big feet it might make it hard to ride I wear a size 9 in women's shoes And it's just the right size for my foot placement. To sum it up it's adjustable so that it's short enough for a five-year-old to use but the handlebars will go up it will be tall enough for an adult to use it's strong and sturdy. I hope review is helpful
I liked that the deck was long enough for me to place my foot and have the other turned to the side for the heel to fit behind it. I didn't like the brakes, I didn't like how the handle bars moved constantly and weren't stable. That's very dangerous. Having the whole set of handle bars move forward or backwards while I was riding made me want to stop. Another thing is this isn't very good with coasting. You have to put tons more effort into kicking.
