Tested it on a standard low-end USB cable, and was rather impressed how it repeatedly removed the jacket w/o damaging the individual wires. The wires themselves were outside of the stated range, and it took way too much finesse to strip the 28 gauge fine-strand wires without at least damaging them. More often than not, the wires were broken off completely. I rate it 5 stars, because it does exactly what it's supposed to do, it's easy to use, and it's easy on the wallet. The plastic strip-length stop is like every other plastic doo-dad needlessly attached to a metal tool...it likely will not be there very long. It's just a gimmick anyway, that has to be included simply because every other similar tool has one. It's of no real use, so it does not affect the value of this tool. The included wire ties and crimp terminals are a handy addition.
