excellent decision. water is cleaner softer taste than before. easy, very easy to add on to the system. took all of an extra 5 mins while replacing my filters. you do need to run the tank empty a few times to get the white (Over mineralizing out) but again. I drained the tank via the sink outlet we drink from. all of 5or 6 mins. closed it, set a timer for an hour and did it again. done and water is better than ever.
I included pics of the effects of the filter. Using a liquid test my straight tap water was blue-purple. I'm going to say pH between 7 and 7.5 based on the color chart I was given. After the RO the water is a pale green with some yellow. That is around 5.5 to 6. That is typical of course for the RO system to reduce the pH. After installing the pH "filter" my pH rose to around 7 (since it should be self-limiting that's all I expect). In addition, my TDS after the RO originally was in the 20-40 range (down from 500 before RO). After adding the pH "filter" my TDS is now around 120. I notice just barely a difference in flavor. Another added benefit is that I can purchase this fancy automatic coffee maker I wanted. The manufacturer states not to use typical RO water with it as the TDS would be too low. So in summary, this worked much better than I expected. I repeated the test because I was surprised. Similar results.
I added this filter to my RO-Hi system to increase the pH. Quick and easy installation with no tools needed! Increased my pH from 6.1 to 7.0 with great tasting water. Very satisfied.
I add this the my system this year and so glad I did. There is a big difference in the taste of our water. Taste better than bottled water
Works great. I didn't know that the r. o. filter was returning the water coming from our neutalizer back to a low ph by removing the calcite. Wish I had known about this a long time ago. Also, I had to use 3/8" to 1/4" adapters to make it fit with my r. o. unit. I now test the water with ph test strips. The water is now neutral according to the test strips.
Easy to install once you understand the directions but customer support was there to help and were great.
Did not help neutralize the water as the meter indicated the water was 5.0. The company sent another filter with additional minerals added. The water acidity improved with this filter, but is now, about a month later, acidic again (5.5 ph).
